Both Eri and Gaki-san's parents were present at the public recording. After the recording, their parents went to their dressing rooms and they chatted. Gaki-san finds Eri's mother really entertaining. Eri's mother did an awesome impersonation of the usual lazy sounding Eri which Gaki-san describes it as so good that she thinks that "no Morning Musume member can do that." Even though Eri was practically criticising her mother during the recording over the salon trip, Eri's mother wasn't mad at all and was actually grinning. Eri says that she thinks that her mother was happy that Eri mentioned her.

Morning Musume - Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai

As the two of them were introducing the message corner, Eri dragged her words and added a "Behave responsibly!" after the title call. As expected, Gaki-san responded with a "You should (behave responsibly)." They moved on to do their self-introductions and Eri introduced herself as "Kamei Eri degowasu" instead of "Kamei Eri desu."

A listener attended the Hello! Project concert and sent in a mail regarding Gaki-san's hair. Gaki-san makes a small mistake when reading out the mail and read hair (Kami) as turtle (Kame). Eri laughed a little at it. The listener feels that its cute-looking and suitable for Gaki-san. If anyone's wondering [Some people are. Because Gaki-san still had her long beautiful hair during the public recording which was only 1-2 weeks before the concert], Gaki-san got her haircut on December 29th. Being the random her, Eri commented that its the "meat day." "Meat day" is on all the 29th because two in Japanese is "ni" and nine is "kyu." If we put them together, it becomes "nikyu" which is similar to "niku," which means meat. Gaki-san consulted other members beforehand. She discussed about it with Aichan and Eri who had their hair chopped to a really short length out of blue in the past. Gaki-san was prepared to get her hair chopped but the moment her beautiful hair was chopped, she felt sad. Apparently the hairdresser gave Gaki-san part of the hair that was cut off as a memento.

A listener asked if Gaki-san and Eri went through a failure already in 2010. Eri says that they aren't that dumb. Gaki-san can't help but doubt someone who has uncountable number of failures in life. They talk about Hello! Project's concert...since that's like the only thing they have done in 2010 so far. As there are 2 set lists for this winter concert, Gaki-san was confused with the dance choreographies, songs and everything. She only figured them out during the rehearsal that was held right before the concert. Gaki-san isn't the only one. Almost every Hello! Project member had the same problem. Eri says that as Morning Musume has older members, members like Gaki-san and Aichan are slower in such things [Gaki-san and Eri are of the same age by the way, lol]. Gaki-san doesn't get it at first and Eri was quick enough to cover up and tell Gaki-san that because they are the leader and sub-leader, they have more things to think about, hence slower than other members when learning something. Gaki-san tells Eri to say it again in a direct manner and honest Eri goes "I'm talking about you guys not having any memory and being bad at remembering things." According to Gaki-san, Eri makes such comment often and does that at the backstage before the concerts. She asks Eri if Aichan and her are considered old, then what's Makoto (Sharan Q)? Eri reasons that Makoto is like a youngster in her eyes because of the same mushroom hairstyle for years.

When Eri was younger, her parents would help her clean her ears. Like Eri had mentioned on several shows, her mother's personality is very similar to her, including the half-heartedness. As her mother was cleaning little Eri's ear, instead of looking closely into her ear, she was either watching a TV show or talking to someone. Once, her mother placed the stick so deep in that it really hurt...for little Eri of course. Eri says that she's traumatised after that incident. Now, she cleans her ears herself with her eyes closed so that she can focus on cleaning her ears. Gaki-san went crazy when she talked about her ear picking experience. She went "My way of cleaning my ears is strange. *Laughing to herself while Eri stares on*." [It sounds really funny. Do listen to it.] When washing her hair, the water flows into her ears and Gaki-san will use 2 cotton swabs, each on one hand and clean her ears. Gaki-san keeps laughing to herself although its not funny and Eri isn't laughing [Its what that made it really funny though, lol]. According to Gaki-san, she is able to use a pair of chopsticks with either her right or left hand *Inserts Gaki-san's laughter* Anyway, Eri being random again, said that that's not cute at all and Gaki-san was like "What has it got to do with being cute?" Eri checks with Gaki-san if she can really use chopsticks with both hands and Gaki-san confirmed it and added that she can pick up beans with a pair of chopsticks in either hands [Of all the things, beans.] Eri calls Gaki-san "Sabu-chan" again.

C-ute - SHOCK!

During the Hello! Project winter concert, Chisato brought some cooked onions and Gaki-san really loves them. I remember reading about it on her tour diary. Seems like she is really crazy for them now. Gaki-san not only wants to give five stars to the onions but also Chisato's generosity to bring a number of servings of it for all the Morning Musume members. With that, Gaki-san gave five stars to the onions and Chisato. [Amazingly short]

Eri crowned the most forgetful member

Aichan named Eri as the most forgetful member in Morning Musume. Morning Musume does a present exchange every year during Christmas. They usually have rehearsals for the Hello! Project Winter concert during the Christmas period so all of them will meet. For last year's Christmas exchange, it was originally planned to be held on the 24th. Due to Aichan's busy work schedule, it slipped her mind and she didn't bring the present. In fact, the present was prepared by Aichan's little sister (Aichan gave her sister 3000yen and told her to help her buy a present). Fortunately for Aichan, when the members checked with Aichan if they should do the exchange on the 24th or the 25th, Aichan chose 25th. Honest Eri then went up to Aichan and told her "Lucky me. I forgot to bring my present." After Aichan got home, she made it a point to remember to bring the present along the next day thinking that Eri would too. However, the next day, Eri forgot to bring her present again. Apparently Eri bought some sort of can spray and lucky [Depending on how we see it...] Sayu received Eri's present. Aichan concluded that Eri is the most forgetful member and admitted that she is forgetful too.

7 Years of Awesomeness

Today marks the 7th year of the addition of the three amazing personalities to Morning Musume. In case you don't know, I'm talking about the 6th generation.

We have seen how their management have placed their fun-loving personality and good chemistry into good use through the MC segments and promotions. They may not be the most talented members, but these three, like other senior members, certainly worked their asses off to be who they are now. A great singer, a great dancer and a great TV personality. Can this generation be any greater?

I'm a big fan of Rokkies and I love how despite their absolutely different personalities, they work really well together. Its great to see them pass yet another milestone of their career and friendship today. I'm sure Sayu remembers this date (I remember watching her talk about January 19 in a Morning Musume DVD) and do hope that they have their way of celebrating this day.

Due to work commitments, Sayu was not able to attend her coming of age ceremony. However, her dad didn't let it pass just like this. He sent Sayu a letter Sayu wrote to the 20-year-old her when she was 12 years old. Sayu read the letter and praised the younger her for the beautiful handwriting. The letter was written with pencil and Sayu could see some of the marks left by the pencil although she erased it and rewrote it. She was impressed by the tidiness of the 12-year-old Sayu. The younger her briefly asked how the current Sayu is doing now and stated that she wanted to be a poet or doctor when she was 12. [The staffs can be heard laughing in the show when Sayu said this] Sayu had completely forgotten her ambition of being a poet until she read the letter. Since young, Sayu liked to write poems. She still writes them in her diary entries nowadays. She remembers writing 2 poems which were titled "Piano" and "Triangle" whereby she submitted them for a competition and "Triangle" was published in a newspaper even though Sayu was more confident of her "Piano" poem which was written in the shoes of a piano. Sayu thinks that that win was probably what that encouraged the 12 years old Sayu to dream of becoming a poet.

A fan sent in a mail to Konusapi telling Sayu that his friends are starting to like her too. Sayu sounded very surprised and is aware that she is gaining haters lately.

Aichan fell down in front of Sayu during this fall in a Nine Smile concert at the start of "SONGS." Other members and Sayu do fall at times but Sayu had never seen such a great fall in a Morning Musume concert. The first line of "SONGS," "Ikiru no ga Heta" which means "bad at living" happens to be Aichan's line. Sayu silently thought to herself that this person (Aichan) is bad at living indeed and laughed to herself during the concert. Although "SONGS" is a cool song, Sayu ended up smiling to herself throughout the performance at the thought of Aichan's fall. Even after the concert, when they had to change into their normal clothes immediately and leave the concert hall, Sayu laughed so much that her stomach hurt and she couldn't change out of her costume. She apologises for the impoliteness. Aichan was fine after the fall even though she took some time to get back on her feet had to be helped up by Eri.

A listener who reads Nakagawa Shoko's (Shokotan) blog noticed that Shokotan has the same outfit Sayu wore in this picture. Sayu bought the outfit when she was on a shopping trip with Aichan [She said "Big fall Aichan"]. Aichan recommended Sayu to buy it because she thought it looked pretty matching with the pair of shoes Sayu wore. On the day of the Konusapi recording when she wore the outfit, everyone she met told her its too flashy even Koharu asked Sayu if Sayu had something special on that day. She tried wearing it again on Christmas and again, she was told the same thing, making her feel embarrassed.

Another listener sent in about 2011, which is the year of the rabbit. Sayu got pretty excited reading out the ideas the listener has for Konusapi in 2011. He asked what is Sayu's goal for 2011 and Sayu was like "We just stepped into 2010 and he is asking for my 2011's goals?" Sayu finds it very amazing for her 22nd birthday [22 is the number for "Usachan Peace"] to land on the year of the rabbit.

According to Sayu, Koharu cares a lot about her skin pores and frequently comments on people's pores.

Out of all vegetables, onion is Sayu's favourite [Not carrots?]. She likes saag and cabbage too.

As this is a public recording, everyone in the building can hear every single word Gaki-san and Eri say. They decided to be careful of the conversations they hold. As expected, Eri is nervous and isn't like the usual Eri who goes "Gaki-ha~n." She's more alert and energetic during the public recording. Eri claims that its because she is a lady after all so she can't do that.

Before Gaki-san proceeds to reading out of the e-mail address, she stumbles on her words a little and said "Mochiron" (Certainly) as "Mochiran."

Announcement of the Morning Musume's upcoming single to be played. Eri teases the audience by saying "You know what? Gaki-Kame are..." and waits for the audience to go "Oh?" as though they are expecting something great before finishing her sentence with a "...singing the second part of the song." Before the show, a staff checked if they are just going to play the first part of the song but both of them disagreed. They wanted their parts to be heard so much to the extent that they wanted to tell the staff to just play the second part of the song if they are unable to play the full song. Gaki-san jokingly said "The songs always fade out after Aichan sings." If you haven't notice, normally, only the first part of the songs are played on radio shows and performed on TV shows.

During the recording, Gaki-san and Eri stood up when they heard themselves singing to appeal to their fans and to excite the audience.

Like last week, Gaki-san and Eri will be reading out some of the answers the audience wrote in their survey forms. The audience were asked what they would like to scream out loud in this building and why. Gaki-san and Eri will scream their lines on their behalf.

As mentioned several times on FIVE STARS Monday, Eri doesn't eat carrots. Sayu usually helps herself to the carrots in Eri's bento. Eri says that its because "that girl is a rabbit" and of course, received good reaction from the crowd as well as a compliment from Gaki-san. Anyway, Eri has no plans on trying to eat carrots because that rabbit (Sayu) will eat them for her.

Eri asks if Gaki-san is filial to her parents but before Gaki-san answers, she concluded that Gaki-san does. Gaki-san doubts that Eri is aware of the things Gaki-san does. Probably playing along with it, Eri added that she concluded that Gaki-san is filial to her parents from Gaki-san's looks. Gaki-san then asks if Eri is filial to her mother but before Eri answers, she said that Eri doesn't seem to be filial to her mother from her looks.

A listener wants to scream "Kimchi fried rice!" because he craves for it often in this season. Meanwhile, both Gaki-san and Eri crave for ramen in this season. Both of them shouted "Kimchi fried rice" once more because Eri didn't scream it with feelings during her first try.

Another listener wants to scream that his daughter learned to stand up the day before the recording. Again, Eri's surprised that there's another father in the crowd. For some reason, the 2 girls are really happy for the father. Eri says that they should let Gaki-san shout lines like "Kimchi fried rice" and let her shout lines like "My daughter learned to stand up yesterday!" Gaki-san tells Eri to indirectly insulting the "Kimchi fried rice" phrase.

Eri reads out the first selected answer...which is to win a lottery. Money is a sensitive topic in FIVE STARS Monday now. Eri's first reaction to it is "Please split the winnings with me if you win." Eri bought lotteries before and won a small consolation prize once. Gaki-san tells the listener to not tell anyone if he wins it.

A listener wants to make his wife smile lots in 2010. The 2 girls find it really sweet but they jokingly hint at something as they talked about the guy being in the audience. Gaki-san stops the joke and tells the guy that his wife is more important than them.

Another listener wants to be able to flip the kendama ball to the stick in the middle successfully ten times in a row. He asked if Eri-chan can do that. Gaki-san repeats the listener's question word for word, including "Eri-chan." As expected, Eri was disgusted when Gaki-san called her Eri-chan. Eri can't do it. She can do it at least once though.

Gaki-san wants to go to DisneySea. That place gets her heart throbbing. Since its the Christmas season (Show was recorded on December 23rd), the more Gaki-san wants to be there. However, its pretty crowded there nowadays and is filled with couples. Gaki-san invites Eri to DisneySea with her which Eri accepts but said that she'll go there only after 6pm. Gaki-san wants to be there in the morning so that they can stay there longer. Eri agreed to go in the morning since Gaki-san is her senior.

For Gaki-san, she wants to get a short hairdo which she did. She has been talking about it since months ago but because of her long hair, a small part of her doesn't want to go short. As for Eri, she wants to stay with her current hairstyle which is neither long or short. Gaki-san tells Eri that she looks cute with her current hairstyle.

Eri is aware that she has a habit of saying "Ja..." (In that case...)

Sayu's craze

During last week's Konusapi, Sayu mentioned that her current craze is Beckii Cruel and Beckii is now aware of Sayu's existence! Earlier today, Beckii tweeted this on her twitter. You can check out her Youtube channel here.

Makes me wonder what Sayu's reaction will be if she knows of this.

The ongoing Hello! Project concert is the first concert that has such a tight schedule. Its also the first concert with 2 set lists. Doing concerts with other Hello! Project members, Aichan sees the improvement in the members. She talks to Chisato often because of their common interest for Final Fantasy. Once, after a rehearsal, Chisato approached Aichan for help for her dance.

There have been several shoes mix-up during concerts but there weren't any of such incidents for the ongoing Hello! Project concert so far. They often put on more than 2 costumes so that they can change out of the top piece and into the bottom piece quickly. Its fast but sometimes causes them to not be able to carry out some moves properly. Aichan will normally think and plan beforehand for the moves she is going to make when wearing a particular costume because some of the costumes may not be suitable for certain moves.

The choreography for this song was changed a lot of times...even until the day before the music video recording.

Instead of recommending a play/musical/movie, Aichan is recommending Hikari no 4 Senshi. She was into this game before she started on Final Fantasy XIII. As for the listeners' recommendation, its Gyakuten Saiban musical.

One of the main ideas about Morning Musume's upcoming Spring concert tour is for the girls to improve themselves in different areas. Aichan is going to start off by improving her dancing skill.

Aichan was told to name one of her personal goals for 2010. "Please do not worry too much about your fumbling of words" was written on her script, reminding her to not use it as a goal. Although many people have told her that stumbling on her words is one of the things that makes Aichan Aichan, Aichan still minds the fluffing of lines because its obviously not a good thing especially during important speeches.

Aichan likes the dance choreography for this song and finds the lyrics cute.

When she entered Morning Musume as a new member, like other members, Aichan had to work extra hard to catch up with her seniors. After catching up, they are all aiming to be the number 1 star. All them of have to work hard and keep improving to keep up with one another and sometimes, it makes them wonder when will they ever be able to stop trying so hard.

This week's English phrase is "Ouch! You're stepping on my foot." Aichan needs to teach Sanma this phrase. She often steps or kicks Sanma's leg unintentionally during Youngtown recordings, lol.

Aichan encourages a listener to gather up all his/her courage to go to the dentist to have his/her wisdom tooth removed because she heard that its better to have them removed. Apparently, Aichan doesn't have any wisdom tooth.

As Konusapi is a pre-recorded show, when this week's episode was recorded, the Hello! Project concert has yet to start. There are 2 different concerts for the ongoing Hello! Project concert and the girls are working with a very tight schedule. Its physically challenging and Sayu hopes that she will be able to pull through it. Sayu says that she loves concerts, even though her stamina sucks.

Morning Musume - Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai

The member's theme colours are decided by the company. Sayu's theme colour was yellow until Konno graduated. When Charmy graduated, Konno took up Charmy's colour (Konno had pink too, but it was of a lighter shade). Sayu felt that she was more suitable to wear that pink as compared to Konno. Anyway, when her theme colour was changed to pink, Sayu was overjoyed. She still sees fans wearing her yellow T-shirts and that surprises her a little. If Sayu were to choose a 2010 theme colour for herself and it can't be pink, she will go with light brown. Light brown calms her down and she often writes with light brown ink. Also, autumns have the image of being light brown and Sayu loves autumns.

Sayu's goal for 2010 is to stay hyped up for everything and enjoy herself as she works. She does not want to simply stay the same, going on about being cute and pink. She wants to try out new tasks and be more generous with her compliments for people. Not that she wants to drop her image, but rather, she wants to discover more sides to herself and just be herself as she moves on.

A listener notices that Junjun has been trying to appeal to the fans that she is cute through her cutesy behaviour and usage of cute Japanese words. He wrote in his mail that Junjun may just take away Sayu's cute character in Morning Musume in near future. Sayu says that its a shock to hear that someone feels that Junjun is going to take her character away. She doesn't like the idea neither does she like to hear people telling her that Junjun is cuter than her. Sayu feels that both of them have different types of cuteness and she wants to move on with her unique cuteness. If fans feel that Junjun is cuter, she'll accept it, even though Junjun and her are rivals. She will like to try even harder and become even cuter. Sayu hopes that all listeners of Konusapi can continue to keep up with Sayu's cuteness.

Morning Musume - Bonkyu Bonkyu BOMB! Girl

Sayu is currently living with her mother. Her big sister is living alone while her big brother is in Yamaguchi with her father. Both her siblings do visit them some times and stay for a night. Not long ago, her brother came to stay over. Although Sayu was aware of her brother's presence, it didn't stop her from dressing lightly, which made things a little awkward for her brother. On the second morning, Sayu wanted to take a bath. She knew that someone was in the bathroom brushing his/her teeth but without a second thought, she barged in, thinking that it was her mother. Instead of her brother feeling embarrassed, Sayu was the one who felt embarrassed.

2 months before Koharu graduated, she started a "Yoroshikuchuusu!" catchphrase which means "Yoroshiku." Sayu initially didn't find it interesting but after Koharu's excessive usage of it, she got used to it.

Sayu's eyesight became worse recently. During concerts, she can only see the front half audience of the first level. That is when the lights are dim. When the lights are bright, she can see the very last person of the hall and what outfit he/she is wearing. She can also see and hear the fans on the second level.

There's currently a Korean music boom in Morning Musume. The members have been listening to groups like Tohoshinki and BIG BANG's songs. However, Sayu isn't in the craze at all. She is still staying with her craze for general idols and idol groups. Sayu's latest craze is Beckii Cruel, the famous net dancer. She happened to see a video of Beckii dancing when she was watching some other videos. After a quick search, she found out that Beckii is pretty popular and now she is into her. She finds Beckii very cute and is able to feel Beckii's love for Japanese anime by watching her dance. Sayu is envious of Beckii's youth and still energetic skin.

Sayu doesn't slurp her noodles. She has a habit of putting a strand of thick noodle below her tongue and rolling it about before swallowing it. Sayu knows that its not a common habit and wonders if only people from Yamaguchi prefecture does it because she has seen Nishimura Tomoni (Who is from Yamaguchi) doing it. Her mother doesn't do it when she eats though.

This week's episode was recorded during the public recording on December 23rd...which is also Eri's 21st birthday! The fans present were holding on to their orange light sticks. A "reindeer" brought out a birthday cake for Eri. According to Gaki-san the "reindeer" is the manager they have been talking about lately. Together with the fans, Gaki-san sang a birthday song for Eririn who was overjoyed. It was Eri's dream to be able to meet the fans on her birthday and its finally fulfilled. The birthday cake is specially designed for Eri's birthday and is a present from "Something Rogue" bakery. Eri didn't expect the birthday celebration to be held during the opening of the show.

Eri's goal for her 21st year of wonderful life is to be seen as an intellectual person, physically first. Gaki-san suggested Eri to put on spectacles but Eri wants to start off with her aura.

A lot of listeners sent in birthday messages to Eri. Gaki-san couldn't read all the listeners' name out because the list just goes on.

The audience were given a form to fill in before the recording. A list of questions were asked in the form and some of the answers from the audience were picked out for the show. The first question is "What is the birthday present that made you the most happy or surprised?"

After Gaki-san read out the first listener's name, which is "Touch," Eri went "Touch touch!" making the audience laugh. Gaki-san and Eri tried to react to Touch's answer but didn't get a good response from the crowd. Obviously still not too used to the audience in front of them, it was a little awkward.

As Gaki-san spoke, Eri kept dropping comments here and there softly, causing the crowd to laugh yet again. When Gaki-san said that Umaibou is delicious, Eri made a pun quietly, as though hoping that everyone hears her except for Gaki-san. She said "Umaibou, chou umai bou" which means "Umaibou is a very tasty stick." Please check out the Umaibou link to get the joke if you have yet to get it. Coming back, Gaki-san didn't hear Eri say that but she did hear Eri mumbling so she asked her what she said but Eri denied saying something.

Probably a little nervous, Eri stumbled on her words and said "Radio nebu" instead of "Radio name." A listener answered that he is happy with whatever present his daughter gives her. While Gaki-san talked about how touching that is, Eri said "Its amazing that there's actually a papa in this crowd!" Yes, Eri's focus isn't on the present but rather the fact that they have a fan that's already a father. Thanks to Gaki-san, she led Eri back to the main point in an indirect way.

Eri's dad sent her a birthday mail before the recording and Eri was planning to reply to her dad only after the recording. Luckily they were talking about the listener being a father because the talk reminded Eri to reply to her dad. She thanked everyone for the reminder.

A listener's answered that the best birthday present he received is that his hamster gave birth on his birthday. Eri commented that the listener is very girlish but was quick enough to add in "even though he is a guy."

Another listener answered that it is the bouquet of flowers her boyfriend gave her. The number of flowers represented her age. Eri then went, "I wonder how many stalks there were (lol)." Gaki-san told Eri to not touch on such a subject because that's a female listener.

Gaki-san didn't understand what a stone dumpling and Eri did some unexpectedly clear explanation for her. Stone dumplings are made by freezing mud dumplings. They are inedible but are made by small boys to play with. Its more like a boys' toy but Eri knows of it because her big brother played with it and their front yard often had mud dumplings lying around.

Before the public recording, they had a rehearsal. Eri knew her schedule some time ago and was expecting a birthday surprise during the rehearsal. However, they didn't do it during the rehearsal. They gave Eri her birthday surprise some time ago, before her birthday, during a recording. After the recording, everyone got down from the stage like they usually do and head for the back. Their manager rushed to Gaki-san and asked her to stall time for them because they wanted to give her the surprise there. It was a very sudden request so Gaki-san called out to Eri and acted as though she had something to tell Eri. She went "Wait, Kame! I have something to talk to you about...erm...uh..." Eri simply replied "What's up Gaki-san? Stop it (The drag) Its gross ~." Gaki-san was silently praying for the manager to move a little faster and thankfully, they were finally ready...seconds before Eri stepped in.

Gaki-san feels that Eri loves her mother a lot. Whatever it is, Eri will call her mother, going "Okaa-han! Okaa-han!" Talking about Eri's mother...not long ago, her mother went to a salon and spent 26k yen. When Eri heard the price, she was like "Wow, this person is awesome." She realised parents can do all sort of amazing things. According to Gaki-san, the day after Eri's mother went to the salon, Eri went around asking everyone how much they usually spend during each salon trip. Eri's reason for making such a big fuss is because there's a recession now, lol.

A listener answered that birthday wishes are enough to make him happy. As the 2 of them commented on how wonderful this listener is, Gaki-san said "This person is fabulous, unlike Kame. Talking about things like recession."

No FIVE STARS corner this week, but there's a new corner where Eri has to guess what items are in the box. The rules of this corner is simple. Eri has to put her hands into the box to feel the items and identify them. One side of the box is transparent plastic which is for the audience to see what is inside. When the box was brought in, the always curious turtle almost looked through the transparent side. Luckily Gaki-san stopped her in time before Eri ruined the game.

The items in the box are Gaki-san's birthday presents for Eri. Upon hearing that, Eri said "So that's why you didn't give me one!" Before the public recording, they were with the rest and all the members gave Eri her birthday present except for Gaki-san. Eri did notice that and kept glancing at Gaki-san. Gaki-san did catch Eri peeking at her but she waited patiently just for this moment. Another rule of this game...made by Gaki-san is that Eri could only get the item if she guesses it correctly. Eri felt very confident and was ready to take them all home.

The first item Eri identified is the hot-water bottle. She took it out of the box and squealed as she held the bottle as though its her pillow. As Gaki-san said that this is something that can't be seen in a radio show, Eri quickly covered her face, only to be told to put down her hands by Gaki-san.

The second item is a pair of socks. Gaki-san bought them for her because Eri has holes in her socks, again. The crowd laughed at Eri and Eri told them they are laughing too much. Longer socks talk after the third item!

The third item is a room wear. Eri is sensitive to cold so Gaki-san bought a fluffy one for her. Its pink in colour and Gaki-san asked the audience to try imagine Eri wearing it, making Eri embarrass at the same time. That earned Gaki-san a whack to the head from Eri.

Coming back to the socks, during a rehearsal for Nine Smile concert, as Gaki-san was doing her stretches with Eri, at some point of time, Eri placed her foot near to Gaki-san's face. Gaki-san turned and looked at Eri's foot only to see a foot covered with a sock that has 3 holes. Being the usual her, Gaki-san told Eri its about time she should be getting some new pairs of socks and being the usual her, Eri asked Gaki-san to buy them for her.

Sorry for the delay, I wasn't at home when the concert was going on. I've yet to read through the fan reports or listen to the fan recordings but I've seen and typed out the set list provided on 2ch. I have to say, the songs are pretty much as predicted with the exception of the performance of "LOVE LIKE CRAZY" by Aichan, Eri and Captain. I mean, for once, whoever is the mastermind of these set lists, actually care about what fans...or at least, me, want to see instead of what he thinks is right.

Frankly, I'm not interested in the song. I only want to see these 3 girls dance off. Both Eri and Captain certainly have a slight edge over Aichan in terms of intensity but I'm sure Aichan will put up a strong battle somehow with another one of her amazing performances.that makes her fans go crazy. Not going to judge since I'm obviously on Eri's side but I have to say, all 3 girls have their unique flavours in their dances and their performance is definitely a highlight of this concert.

Anyway, for the 6th generation's MC segment, they were giving some "inside" information of Hello! Project members. I'm expecting this to be the fixed topic for the segment and will be looking forward to this MC segment.

Here's a quick translation to Eri's answer during Morning Musume's MC segment. For Morning Musume's MC segment, they have to construct phrases/sentences that are related to one another using the 5 words in "Mobekimasu" as the start of each phrase/sentence. Sounds a little confusing so I'll just use Eri's example.

Eri's answer was

Translation

Although it does not change anything, Sayu counts the days left to a new year.

When Sayu moved into the apartment she is currently living in with her family, they were told by the landlord that the air in their apartment won't be as dry as the air in other apartments. However, Sayu's throat has not been feeling that way recently so she has to turn on the big humidifier she has at home to prevent the season from affecting her throat. Her mother happened to pop into her room once and smelled something strange. A few days later, when Sayu returned home, she found the little toys she placed by the side of her window all lying on her bed. It was her mother who took the toys down. Apparently her mother found mould growing on the sides of the window and cleared them away. Sayu is amazed by how her mother could smell the slightest difference in smell in her child's room.

Morning Musume - Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai

This is the last episode of Konusapi of 2009. Many listeners requested for Sayu to do a "Michishige Sayumi's top 10 important news 2009" ranking to wrap up the year so she is going to do it. Starting off with 10th place.

10. Allergic to cats

Sayu only found out that she is allergic to cats this year. Refer to this post for more details. Sayu's mother feels that it isn't Sayu who is allergic to cats. Its probably Sayu's sister's dirty room that caused the itch.

9. Solo MC in concert

During Morning Musume's Platinium 9 DISCO concert tour, 6 members got an opportunity to host a solo MC segment during the concerts on a regular basis. Sayu being one who loves to talk and interact with the fans, she really enjoyed herself during the MC segments. However, she was also nervous and felt pressurised because she wanted to outdo other members. Sayu wanted her talks to be attractive. She didn't want non-Sayu fans to go to the toilet during her MC segment, she wanted fans to find her talks interesting and hence, the pressure built up for her. Like other members, she took the solo MC segment very serious and prepared beforehand.

8. Los Angeles

Morning Musume went to LA in July. She feels that LA really gives the "city" look. The streets are beautiful, the beers are expensive and some places are used as a scene in various movies. She really enjoyed herself in LA. Another thing about the trip is the concert. It was Sayu's last concert in her teens. Normally, Sayu's birthday doesn't land on any concert days because Morning Musume don't hold concerts in July. She thinks that its rather awesome that she was able to have her last concert in her teens in LA and conveniently concluded that she was the coolest during the concert.

7. New laptop

During Nine Smile concert, Sayu mentioned that her computer wasn't working and she had to get a new one. She then bought a laptop. Sayu couldn't find the correct term for a moment there and said "Fixed computer" and "The computer that can't be anywhere but here" as a replacement for "Desktop computer." A laptop is more convenient for Sayu and she has been carrying it around. Thanks to her new laptop, she hasn't been getting enough sleep because she has been on the net all the time. I'm not a S/mileage fan so I have no idea which song Sayu was talking about but she apparently repeated a S/mileage's music video over 20 times.

6. First solo song in an album

Listening to a song sang fully by her, it makes Sayu really happy. When she saw her juniors getting their solo songs, she was envious them and is glad that she finally got the chance to have a song of her own. Another song that pleased Sayu is "Yowamushi." The 2nd part of the song is sang by Sayu and Sayu personally likes the song a lot.

5. "Shouganai Yume Oibito"'s Oricon #1

This is the 2nd Morning Musume single that Sayu has been in that grabbed the number 1 spot on Oricon's weekly chart. Before Sayu entered Morning Musume, many of Morning Musume's singles had gotten number 1 on Oricon's chart but after she joined, Morning Musume's luck hasn't been that good. Although the 6th generation members appear to not be too affected by that fact, they do feel that its because of them for Morning Musume's decreasing popularity. Anyway, getting a #1 is a really joyful thing for them now.

4. Koharu's graduation

Even though they are all moving on without Koharu now, Sayu often wonders what Koharu is doing at that moment and she has been watching the shows Koharu has been appearing on. Also, as she was chatting with Gaki-san and Eri (Ojou3!), they started talking about Koharu without knowing, making them realise how huge Koharu's presence was.

3. Coming of age

Sayu turned 20 years old this year. She can't believe that she is already 20. Normally, she spends her birthday with her family. Though so, she doesn't have a deep impression of the presents her mother gave her in the past years. However, this year, her mother prepared a very special gift, which is 2 expensive necklaces for Sayu. Sayu has learned to drink alcohol. She can't drink much but she is having fun drinking.

2. Variety shows

Sayu has been invited on many variety shows in 2009. Even though it can be troubling at times, she really happy that she is being invited to the shows. When she took her first step into the variety world, the feeling was like her taking her first step into her idol career. Like her family, Sayu didn't expect herself to go on so many TV shows. She is proud to make such an achievement and show her grandparents that her mother's willingness to move to Tokyo to take care of Sayu paid off.

1. Konusapi going into its 4th year of broadcast

Sayu almost placed this in the 2nd place because she felt that her advancement to the variety world was a bigger news but after much consideration, she realised that the opportunities she were given was probably because of Konusapi. She thinks that someone probably listened to Konusapi and discovered Sayu's personality and therefore invited her onto shows.Sayu hopes that Konusapi will never end and she'll be able to host it forever.

Happy new year to all!
Its the start of a new year as well as a new decade!

Lets kick off 2010 with one of Eri's aims for this year.

Eri's 2009 review

"I got my hair cut. I've always wanted to it to be at shoulder length and I'm happy to finally have it at that length."

Eri's 2010 aim

"I want to be seen as an intellectual person so I will like to use adult-like words as I move on."

She certainly have to work hard to kick away her "Aho-Kame" image in that case. No matter what targets she is setting for herself and how cute and silly they sound, I'll be rooting for her!

Talking about Eri's hair, I didn't translate about this, but Eri mentioned on several shows that she did not change the colour of her hair throughout 2009. She stayed with the same shade of brown she had. Even though so, she has been asked over and over again if she changed it so in case anyone thinks so too, Eri did not change her hair colour. It has been a year since I started this blog!

Perfect time to wrap up 2009. When I posted the first 2009 entry on this blog, I wrote "May 2009 be full of Eririn for all the Kameists out there. Also, lets all hope that Morning Musume will make it back into Kouhaku in 2009 under leader Aichan's leadership." They did not make it into Kouhaku this year, but we certainly received a lot of Eri focus this year. 2009 has been an incredible year indeed and I hope 2010 will be even better. I'm already sensing another great year with the recent announcement of Eri's 8th photobook and 3rd solo DVD. A great way to kick off 2010 for all Eri fans, even though they will only be released in late February and early March.

As for this blog itself, it has been a pleasure to translate the Eri related stuff as well as Morning Musume related shows. I have to admit that I'm losing the motivation recently and am not willing to spend the time to translate nowadays but I'll try my best to continue running this blog as long as possible before I lose it completely. Thank you all for all the kind comments throughout this year. They had been very encouraging and motivating. Please keep supporting Erien #1223 in 2010 and continue spread the Eri love. I swear I have absolutely nothing to gain from doing all this so keep spreading the love ~ Sharing is caring!

Before I end this entry and welcome 2010, I'll like to say, 2 translations of a same show can never be the same, no matter how accurate or inaccurate they are so I know it when one is using my translation. Rephrasing or re-posting my translations doesn't make them yours. I've heard and seen many people doing that. If you're doing that, please stop it and credit all translations posted here back to this blog.

Reina was speaking with a nasal voice when she recorded this week's show. She caught a cold. Anyway, since its the last day of 2009, Reina looked back at 2009. This year had passed very quickly for her, with her usual routine of working, playing and sleeping. When she first entered Morning Musume, she wanted time to pass faster but now, she doesn't even have to wish for it to pass quickly and it'll fly past her. This year, Reina celebrated her 20th birthday. She wanted it to be a special celebration but as usual, she spent it with her family. She initially didn't want to turn 20 but after turning 20, she realised that there's not much difference from being in her teens.

She wanted to review on 2009 but its difficult to recall everything so she talked about what she has been doing lately. She has been playing street fighter and from her description, it seems like she has been using Zangief to fight. Reina finds Zangief a great character and can win over pro-players of street fighter without even knowing the buttons for special moves with Zangief.

Morning Musume - Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai

For "Kimagure Princess"'s music video taping, Reina was the last member to get her shots taken. For this single's recording, they were told to move around even if its not their line, showing the sexiness of a girl. As she was wondering about what moves to make for her shots, she watched other members and saw some of the members really moving their hips. Kind of like "Can that shot actually be used!?" standard of sexiness. For Reina, she felt that if her shots were all just sexiness and nothing else, it'd be boring so she added in a little bit of the Reina flavour that we see in concerts.

Reina once said that she'll like act in a drama. Although she has yet to accomplish that aim, she now has an anime that was done based on Tanaka Reina and Reina herself is currently voice acting for the main character (Kaitou Reinya) in the anime. If Reina can participate in other shows, she will like to play the baddie of power rangers. She finds the make-up and costume of the baddie cute and feels that she'll be able to act like a baddie even though she has no experience in acting. Most girls will normally choose pink ranger when asked who their favourite ranger is. However, Reina's prefers red ranger to other rangers.

Continuing with the 2009 review, Reina certainly got into spam this year ever since she ate the onigiri filled with spam during the Hawaii FC Tour. She wasn't that crazy about it at first but after she returned to Tokyo and bought the canned spams, she fell in love with it and is still in love with it. She is hunting for spam now because they aren't available in common supermarkets. She also had a craze over avocados and cooking this year. She only tried cooking 3-4 times and all of them were just spaghetti. It wasn't exactly because of her interest. She has zero interest in cooking but wanted to do it because she was turning 20. Reina sounds really proud and adorable when she talked about not "crying" when cutting onions, lol. She hopes to find a dish she is good at making in near future. That's the 2009 round-up for her private life.

Now for her job. Koharu's graduation is the biggest change for Morning Musume in 2009 in Reina's opinion. It feels strange without her, as though Morning Musume is "imbalance." Not that they don't get along with one another, just that some members works better with certain others. They can't revert the graduation so they can only work hard together now. She quickly ended her talk when she realised she about to go into a serious talk.

Please continue to support Reina (and Morning Musume) in 2010. With that, Reina gave 5 five stars to Morning Musume.

Eri misread "bed" as "pet" for the first mail. Moving on to the opening talk, sitting on the sofa of her living room is the calmest place in her house for Gaki-san. She enjoys playing games, watching television programs and using her mobile phone on the sofa. According to Eri, the sofa in her house is "broken." They didn't get a replacement immediately. Instead, Eri and her family sat on futon until they saw some cheap zaisus which are what they are using for now. Eri places the zaisu on a hot carpet, behind a desk and she likes the warmth of the carpet in between the zaisu and desk. As Gaki-san was wondering about how one can feel calm in a toilet (the listener who sent in the mail said his calmest place is the toilet), Eri told her "You will feel calm. There's no one but yourself in there." Eri added that she (still) likes narrow places and to be in a secret place so that no one can scold her.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

The surreal joke the listener made in his mail got Gaki-san and Eri laughing. The girls gave one another "titles." Gaki-san suggested "random goofy girl" and "goofy happy yaro" (Yaro means rascal) for Eri. In case you're wondering, the "happy yaro" title is the same joke they made in this episode. Eri titled Gaki-san "noisy girl." Gaki-san doesn't want to be called that by Eri but she admits that she is noisier than Eri. Both Gaki-san and Eri can be really loud when their "loud switch" is turned on. However, Gaki-san's loud laughter can be really annoying. Eri often tells Gaki-san to not laugh in such an exaggerated manner because they aren't on TV and she doesn't have to react to them like the way they have to on TV shows. Despite Gaki-san's refusal to accept the title, Eri is still going with "noisy girl" for Gaki-san.

A listener asked Gaki-san and Eri how many new year's card they are planning to prepare. The 2 girls decided to answer at the same time and again, their answers matched. The answer is zero. Gaki-san knows that it isn't a good habit to not write them. She does feel tempted to prepare the cards when she sees the new year related items like new year stickers. Even though they don't send out new year's cards, they do send people their new year greetings, through mobile phone's mails. Not only are they cute, there are postcard templates that can be used. They enjoyed preparing new year's cards when they were younger though. Gaki-san stumbled a little on her words and Eri immediately jumped on her mistake, twice.

Eri knows that she has a habit of blinking continuously but it isn't as bad as the past now. Both of them agreed that the normal face Koharu makes looks funny. Koharu has the habit of making a funny face unknowingly when in a serious discussion.

Gaki-san finds slide phones good. Eri has used a slide phone in the past and wonders what's good about it. Gaki-san thinks that slide phones look cute and are convenient. One doesn't have to flip it open to use the phone. Eri, on the other hand, doesn't like the design slide phones. Also, as slide phones are generally smaller in size than flip phones, they look good with the phone straps. Gaki-san goes more for the appearance of her phone than function. She used a slide phone too in the past, but changed to a flip open phone and then she changed back to a slide phone again recently. Now that she is back with a slide phone, she is more for slide phones and has decided to stick to slide phones. Before Gaki-san bought her current phone, she went to look at mobile phones together with Eri after a FIVE STARS Monday recording. The next day when Eri met Gaki-san, Gaki-san showed the Eri her new phone. Her speed in buying a mobile phone surprised Eri. According to Gaki-san, she is pretty fastidious about her mobile phone. With that, Gaki-san gave 5 stars to slide phones.

Eri's 3rd Solo Image DVD & 8th Photobook!

Eri's 3rd solo image DVD will be released on March 3, 2010. The title has yet to be revealed but e-hon provided us a brief description of the DVD. It says "Kamei Eri's 3rd solo DVD! Its fully loaded with the real Kamei Eri that can't be seen in Morning Musume! Filled with bikini scenes too!" The duration of the DVD is an hour. The photobook will be released on February 25, 2010, slightly earlier than the image DVD, as usual. Eri probably went to Hawaii because the prizes for the lottery are souvenirs from Hawaii according to neowing.

This is great news. I'm hoping to see some adventure and action! It'll be awesome if Eri has yet another side of her that I've never seen or heard of.

Perhaps still in the China mood, when Aichan was talking about new year, she gave a short Mandarin lesson. The phrase she taught was "新年快乐" (Xin nian kuai le) which means "happy new year."

There are 2 different concerts for the upcoming Hello! Project 2010 Winter Kachou Fuugetsu. It may seem to be physically demanding since the dates are all lined up side by side, but Aichan thinks that it may not be as bad as she thinks since it is a Hello! Project concert. In other words, they don't get to sing as much as when performing in a Morning Musume concert. There are songs that Aichan likes and some old songs in the concerts' set lists.

Morning Musume's 42nd single, "Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai" will be released on February 10. Aichan can't give much details for now but she can say that it may be a cool song, but they are wearing cute costumes.

Aichan is not good at skiing but she doesn't fall when she skis. She enjoys skiing but haven't been skiing ever since she joined Morning Musume. She has never tried snowboarding but will like to try doing it.

Aichan gives a hint that this song will be performed in the upcoming concert. She assures us that it will be a cool song.

This week's recommendation is "A Christmas Carol." Aichan watched the movie with Junjun. Although Junjun gave her a choice of the movie and Aichan wanted to watch "2012," she was too afraid to watch it so she chose "A Christmas Carol" instead. Junjun was quicker in her in getting the tickets so she couldn't do much about it.

Listener's recommendation is "Public Enemies." Aichan has yet to watch it.

Aichan hopes that she can stop falling down during concerts because she makes the rest of the members feel worried for her. Gaki-san and Eri especially. Gaki-kame often tells her to stop falling, even though its something that she can't help. Once, during a Hello! Project concert in the Summer, in a middle of a performance, when Aichan was standing in the centre, she fell down the steps. Eri happened to be next to her at that point and it surprised Eri. She quickly checked if Aichan was all right. Fortunately, unlike the fall she had during Nine Smile concert, it wasn't a bad fall. Aichan will like to stop being clumsy, behave like a young lady and not cause the rest worry about her.

Aichan's role in Q.E.D drama is an 18-year-old school girl. She was 22 at that time when they filmed the show. Talking about it, it brings back the good memories to Aichan. Even though the drama was aired earlier this year, it felt as though it has been a long time.

Watching Koharu graduate, Aichan noticed that Koharu has grown up a lot and has became cool.

Looking back at 2009, Aichan realised how much she has done within a year together with the other members. She is amazed by the amount of stuff they accomplished in 2009.

To Aichan, travelling overseas is a good thing. Some of the members often have problems with travelling because of the food and the inability of their skin to adapt to the new environment. Aichan has no problem adapting to the environment quickly. She wants to meet the fans from Taiwan, Korea and many other more countries. Aichan is thinking of learning Mandarin. She is still putting English as the top priority though.

Aichan feels that this song (lyrics) has a deep meaning behind it and she will like everyone to listen to it.

When she was younger, like other children, Aichan wondered if she could write her name in Hiragana instead of Kanji because all 3 Kanjis in her name, "高橋愛" (Takahashi Ai) aren't easy to write.

This week's English phrase is "Okay, I will." It is a continuation of last week's English phrase, "Say hi to your mom."

There will not be any Ichigo Ichie next week. It will continue to run as usual after 2009.

Aichan teaches how to sing the "Jan!" line in "Kimagure Princess." Can't be translated, you have to listen to the show to listen to how she sang. She did say that you can try to use the strength from your stomach. It helps to build muscles. It may be difficult to sing along at first but if you get the trick to doing it, it should not be of much problem. The challenging part for Aichan is the lines with a faster tempo. Those aren't her lines though. Aichan says that if one is able to sing "Kimagure Princess" well, the rest of the Morning Musume songs shouldn't be of much difficulty since "Kimagure Princess" is a vocally-challenging song.

Thanks to "Ichigo Ichie," which started this year, Aichan has improved greatly with her talks even though she has yet to stop stumbling over her words. Please continue to support "Ichigo Ichie" in 2010.

Not long ago, Eri and Sayu planned to hang out together but they had a rehearsal that day. Fortunately for them, the rehearsal ended 4 hours before the scheduled time and they had a meal together before going to karaoke. They went to the karaoke not to sing, but to eat and chat. It was humid in the room after some time. Eri took off her clothes out of a sudden, leaving her camisole on. Eri looked very sexy in that and Sayu was worried that a staff might just walk into the room to check if they needed anything so she asked Eri to put on her clothes which Eri refused, reasoning that its dark and no one would be able to see. To Sayu, the darkness added unnecessary sexiness. She managed to convince Eri to put on her (Eri's) rehearsal jersey in the end.

Kamei Eri - Kataomoi no Owari ni

Some time ago, when Suzanne was on Waratte Iitomo, Sayu sent flowers to the show to congratulate Suzanne. She watched the show when it aired. She finds Suzanne really cute, not only on the outside, but also on the inside (She's right!). Even though Sayu makes negative comments about Suzanne on TV, they are friends in private. Suzanne often tells her she listens to Morning Musume's songs. Sayu too, listens to Suzanne's songs. She likes the duet she sang with Shouji (Mikitty's husband), "Deaete Yokatta" (Me too!). Sayu likes Suzannes voice and how she twists her voice a little near the end of the song. Many Morning Musume girls do it too but Sayu just finds Suzanne's cute.

Sayu was overjoyed when she was informed about the appearance on Waratte Iitomo's telephone segment. Despite her experience, Sayu was very nervous because she has great respect for the show and that it wasn't easy to get an opportunity to go on the telephone segment. She's glad that she was given the opportunity to go on that segment.

A new fashion trend is called "Mori Gal" (Forest gal) which made Sayu wonder if there's a trend called "Umi gal" (Ocean gal), lol. She feels that Aa-chan from Perfume fits the image of a Mori Gal perfectly from the way she dresses and speaks.

When Sayu is together with Morning Musume, she has to try not to dress/style the same way as other members so when she is going on a TV show alone, she doesn't have to worry about that. Instead, her stylist and her will try to dress her up cutely and show a different Sayu, in terms of looks and fashion.

Sayu thinks that its impossible to imitate Yuukorin's voice. In fact, there aren't many people out there who are able to imitate Yuukorin well. She has a very unique voice.

Coming back to talk segment. Sayu feels sad about Koharu's graduation and wonders why she feels so sad about it. She did expect herself to feel that way but not so much. Koharu being her junior, Koharu's graduation certainly gave her a very different sort of feeling as compared to other graduations. She taught Koharu so much when Koharu entered Morning Musume...even though up till now she isn't sure if Koharu actually understood what she said. Until now, Sayu is not sure why Koharu graduated. She is happy that she performed "Rainbow Pink" with Koharu though.

Sayu could feel how much Koharu likes "Rainbow Pink" and the pink duo linkage between the 2 of them. They want themselves to be irreplaceable even if Tsunku creates a new pink duo within Hello! Project Eggs. Sayu knows that their duet is vocally messed up and that's one thing that no one can do other than the 2 of them (That's half of the meaning of the "irreplaceable"-ness...I think).

The public recording started off with Gaki-san and Eri first and they were later joined by a host. Yes, a host, even though its Gaki-san and Eri's radio show. The fan project on mixi for the fans to hold up orange light sticks was very successful. There was a huge crowd and a lot of fans complained about not being able to see the girls completely. Passer-bys made comments how cute and beautiful Gaki-san and Eri were, lol.

A "reindeer" brought out a cake, which is of course, for the birthday girl. The cake had lots of strawberries on it and all the fans sang a birthday song for Eri. The staffs bought the cake from "Something Rogue" bakery. A lot of fans went to the bakery after the public recording.

They recorded 2 weeks of radio show during the public recording. Not going to go into the contents of the shows since it will be aired in near future. Only going to write about the unrecorded portions. Before the recording, Eri told the audience that Gaki-san was very nervous and asked Gaki-san to "leave it to her." Gaki-san explained that she was nervous because Eri's free-will attitude will give her problems. After the first recording, the girls said that the audience was unexpectedly close to them.

Morning Musume's upcoming single, "Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai " was played for the very first time during the public recording. It is pretty similar to Kioku no Meiro and Resonant Blue. Gaki-san and Eri are leads for the second half of the song (Not confirmed, but it sounded like they are the leads). They stood up from their seats when they heard themselves singing, cute.

The duration of the public recording is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes.

Happy 21st birthday to Eri!

There were so many discussions in 2008 when she was about to turn 20 and now she is already 21. I wonder if she accomplished the aims she set for herself to accomplish after turning 20. She has became more mature indeed...that is if we exclude FIVE STARS Monday and the times when she is alone with Gaki-san. In fact, she has displayed her leadership skills when on promotion campaigns with her juniors, surprising me with yet another side of her. Just how many sides does Eri have?

Anyway, even though there hasn't been much talk about her 21st birthday as compared to her really "big shot" 20th birthday which was brought up practically everywhere months before her 20th birthday, I hope that she'll enjoy her birthday as much as she did last year and gets to eat lots of birthday cakes instead of Christmas cakes.

Morning Musume - Nanchatte Renai

Gaki-san and Eri were asked what their "popular phrase" of 2009 is. They decided to announce it together to see if they were thinking of the same phrase and surprisingly, they did. The last time they tried something like that, both of them gave 2 completely different answers. Anyway, the phrase is none other than "Nananananzoya!" which they have been using frequently on FIVE STARS Monday. "Nananananzoya!" is an old gag.

Gaki-san's little sister is in high school now and is having worries about her university admission.

The first thing Gaki-san looks at when she sees a guy is his eyes. Not to check him out, just that she looks into people's eyes because one's eyes can say a lot about him. Eri isn't too sure of where she looks at for a guy at first but after some discussion with Gaki-san, she concluded that she looks at their eyes too.

Tanpopo# - Umbrella

For the past few weeks, the 2 hosts have been talking about one of their managers who has Kamei (AB) blood type. The manager is pretty tall and looks tough but her personality isn't that way. She speaks with a weak voice and is really kind. Despite Gaki-san and Eri being the usual loud them, she doesn't try to shut them up. Instead, she tries to respond to them. They imitated the manager's voice several times during this talk. Gaki-san told us about one of her conversations with the manager.

Gaki-san: Please don't change your personality.
Manager: I doubt I will.
Gaki-san: Please don't change even when you're promoted to the company or another position.
Manager: I have no plans on trying to get a promotion...

Eri works very well with this manager. With that, Eri gave five stars to that manager...which Eri calls "Miss T" on the radio show.

Earlier this month, Aichan went to Beijing together with Gaki-san, Junjun and Linlin. The first thing that surprised her was how big and beautiful Beijing's airport was. The fans from China were waiting at the airport for their arrival and called out to them when they saw them coming out. Aichan looks forward to seeing the fans at airports whenever she travels overseas for work. It makes her really happy. She also received compilations from a fan who represented an unofficial fan club which had planned one of those fan projects that collect messages to be compiled and passed to the Morning Musume girls. There were 5 compilations in total. Each of the girl who went to Beijing received a solo compilation of messages while the messages for Eri, Sayu, Reina and Aika were compiled into one compilation. A lot of fans tried their very best to write in Japanese and Aichan truly appreciates their efforts. She read through every single message in her compilation and was shocked to know that the stumble-on-her-words-often habit is well-known.

Junjun and Linlin were very excited when they heard that they would be able to go to Beijing for promotions. Aichan is interested in Mandarin but she isn't able to speak/read/understand the language so she had to rely on Junjun and Linlin during the trip. The food there was great and since they were at Beijing, the girls wanted to try the Peking Duck which they did, on the very first day of their trip. Aichan and Gaki-san returned to Japan a few days earlier than Junjun and Linlin. According to Junjun and Linlin, after Aichan and Gaki-san left, they had some really delicious food. The purpose of the trip was to promote Morning Musume and to get an opportunity to hold a concert in China.

Aichan likes both public recording and studio recording. She likes the real time reactions she gets when she does a public recording but she feels nervous every time she does a public recording.

High King - Destiny Love

Aichan loves "Destiny Love" and is pleased to have the "Destiny Love" lines, which are sang in English.

Aichan's recommendation this week is Morning Musume Concert Tour 2009 Fall ~Nine smile~. Koharu's graduation ceremony was probably one of the longest graduation ceremony Morning Musume ever had. Even Tsunku, noticed that the ceremony's duration was really long. Koharu is Aichan's first junior that graduated before her and it felt really different. She didn't know what to say for her speech. During the last week of the concert tour, together with Sayu, Koharu performed Rainbow Pink. Rainbow Pink is a pretty old song for Koharu's career in Morning Musume. Watching Koharu rehearse for the song performance, Aichan noticed the big difference between the current Koharu and the Koharu back then when Rainbow Pink was first performed. That moved her to tears, unsurprisingly. Aichan heard from Sayu that Koharu treated the rehearsals for Rainbow Pink very seriously and did everything perfectly, unlike the Koharu in the past.

Sayu watched the Ichigo Ichie DVD. The end.

The recording was taken during the final day of Nine Smile concert tour. Only Sayu and Aichan were talking in this recording because Aichan did another recording earlier on with the rest of the members before Sayu went back to the dressing room...or at least she thought she recorded it. She ended up with only the recording of her and Sayu talking instead of both the recordings, including the one she did with the other 7 members. According to Aichan, when the 8 of them did the recording (The one without Sayu), Koharu talked quite a bit. Unfortunately, she didn't record it.

Something unrelated, but since she talked about Nine Smile's final concert, Eri invited Nozomi Sasaki (Voice actress of Sapphy, a jewel pet) to the concert. Nozomi turned up for the concert and wrote a blog post for it.

Aichan still has a habit of saying "9-people Morning Musume" instead of 8. When she was in Beijing, she said 9 and had to correct herself.

Michishige Sayumi and Kusumi Koharu - Rainbow Pink

Aichan remembers how funny Hito-Pink and Miki-Pink's performance was during Hawaii FC Tour 2007. She envies Sayu for being able to sing and dance to such a cute song even at the age of 20.

When the 5th generation joined Morning Musume, they often got lectured for their bad skills and the lack of personality. Aichan takes baths to relieve her stress from work. (Off topic : When I did this part, I took a look at the clock and it was 12:23AM ~)

This week's English phrase is "Say hi to your mom."

Although Aichan is a big fan of Takarazuka, she has never been to the grand theatre of Takarazuka's musicals for more than 10 times.

Fujimoto Miki's wedding banquet in November is the biggest reception ever Sayu has attended. She was surprised by Mikitty's cute smile and how Mikitty cried buckets, something that Sayu didn't expect from Mikitty. For some unknown reason, Aichan cried too, lol. Instead of a wedding cake, Shouji and Mikitty had a chocolate fondue. The lovely couple fed one another. Shingawa, the other half of Shingawa Shouji comedy duo, made a speech to the couple which moved Sayu to tears. After the banquet, Sayu sent a nicely decorated (lengthy) mail to Mikitty talking about the experience. The next day, she received a reply from Mikitty which got her excited. Mikitty's reply was none other then....!

What's more is that in Sayu's mail, she wrote "If Sayumi gets married, I want a wedding like Fujimoto-san's."

Fujimoto Miki - Romantic Ukare Mode

Haruna Ai did not attend the banquet but she made a VTR to congratulate the couple. In the VTR, she did her famous lip-sync performance of Mikitty's Romantic Ukare Mode.

From Sayu's house in Yamaguchi to the nearest convenience store takes a 20 minutes walk so Sayu has never been to there, lol (You know what I mean right?). Anyway, some time ago, when Morning Musume was in Kobe, they all had some Nikuman and that started the Nikuman craze in Morning Musume. When they were eating Nikuman together, they got curious about what one another adds to their Nikuman. For Sayu, she wanted some mustard but there wasn't any available there. Aika on the other hand uses sauce...which isn't common. They told Aika to talk about this uncommon taste of hers somewhere when she gets the opportunity too. However, Sayu shared this story first, even before Aika herself. She told the listeners if Aika were to talk about it somewhere, they must act as though they are hearing the story for the first time, lol.

The Morning Musume members are guest actresses in the upcoming drama that Mano Erina is involved in. They taped the drama recently for Sayu's scenes. It has been some time since the last time Sayu worked with Mano. She was surprised by how responsible Mano had became. When both of them stood side by side, the staffs told them they really look alike. Sayu was glad to hear that but Mano showed no reaction so Sayu thought perhaps Mano doesn't like the fact that she looks a little like Sayu. Coming back to the drama, since the scenes were not taken in order, the staffs got a little confused with the props. They didn't know which props were supposed to use in which scenes. Mano on the other hand remember everything clearly and helped them out. After the taping, Sayu mailed Mano "Good job!" but she didn't get a reply from her. A week after that work assignment, Sayu saw Mano again and Mano then thanked Sayu for the mail.

When Koharu guested on Konusapi earlier this month, she did her "Mikan, ikimasu!" (A line that Koharu always says before a Mikan performance in a concert) after Sayu read out the song title. Sayu was sitting directly opposite Koharu and saw Koharu's eyes looking upwards when she said "Mikan, ikimasu!" like she'll do during concerts. The fact that Koharu is doing that on a radio show tickled Sayu. When they played Rainbow Pink, Koharu was dancing to the song in the studio.

Before Koharu's graduation was announced, Sayu had never thought of not having Koharu in Morning Musume. Only after the announcement, she realised how quiet Morning Musume will become if Koharu is gone. She regrets not talking to Koharu more. Watching the Koharu standing next to her during concerts, telling the fans that she would be graduating, Sayu wondered why Koharu grew up so big. FYI, in Koharu's memorial DVD, Sayu was the only one who cried when recording the video message for Koharu. She didn't exactly cry though, she held back her tears as she continued to talk about how she wish she had went out with Koharu during their personal time.

Sayu and her sister used to love bugs. During the summer seasons, where there'll be lots of bugs, the two of them would catch bugs using a bug net. She remembers how much fun they had catching them and discussing about the bugs, saying things like "Red dragonfly is rare." They even raised mantises. Sayu knows that it sounds sick, but she admitted to looking at a mantis eat another mantis up. She even caught around 4 beetles. In Yamaguchi, the supermarkets sell beetles (Seriously, for what?). Sayu and her sister would often pester their mother to buy some for them. Apparently the two of them loved bugs more than their brother did.

After Sayu's sister jots down something, she often isn't able to read what she wrote, lol. Sayu popped up at her sister's workplace sometime ago and saw how hard her sister was working and that touched her a little. She is happy to see her sister being able to balance well.

Sayu wonders if her sister is an alien, lol.

I thought of doing the funny parts of the show but uh...got to wait till I feel motivated enough. I've never loved translating videos. Its so troublesome to time or to upload the screen caps, bleah. That's one of the reasons why fansubbers should deserve a hell lot of recognition and appreciation for their hard work. Its not easy to time and translate the shows word for word. *Continues to stay in my radio show world and be lazy* Good night people!

Sayu enjoyed hosting the radio show with Koharu as guest. Although Koharu has now graduated from Morning Musume, she still hopes that Koharu will be back on Konusapi as guest again.

Morning Musume - Furusato

Sayu and her mother went to her sister's house not long ago and helped her clean her messy house up. She has lots of her big sister's stories to update us with. First thing is, her sister lost one of her front teeth. If that happened to Sayu, she definitely wouldn't be in a good mood. Her sister on the other hand isn't affected by the fact that she lost a front tooth and her mother had to ask her to go to the dentist for treatment. Second thing is that for some reason, the water doesn't heat up in her sister's house. Despite it being winter, Sayu's sister has been bathing with cold water. After they checked with the landlord for why the water doesn't heat up, they found out that her sister didn't pay the gas fees so there was no gas supply. Third thing, they decided to go out for a meal after cleaning up her house. Sayu and her mother put on their coats while Sayu's sister only put on a T-shirt. Her mother advised her sister to put on a coat too but apparently, her sister doesn't have a coat...even though she had quite a number of them. Sayu's sister assured her mother that she would be all right and was about to wrap herself with her futon to go out. Her mother stopped her and asked her to use her blanket instead. Either way, it still surprised Sayu. Yes, her sister really went for a meal with them with a blanket wrapped around her.

Sayu likes Aichan's leopard print costume that she wore for Nine Smile concerts. She finds it really cute and suitable for Aichan. The costume comes with a hat which Aichan knows how to make full use of the hat during her performance to look cool. Sayu likes Aichan's cow costume too because she has this ribbon on her costume which goes well with Aichan. As for Sayu's costumes, she likes her Aruiteru costume. Sayu wore a hair accessory that looks like a ring for that song performance to match her costume.

Sayu enjoys writing Pocket Morning Tour Diaries. She feels that whenever she is writing for the subscription program, its one of her most blissful moments. Like she has always said, she wants a blog very badly. Since she can't have one, neither can she send Pocket Diaries when they don't have a concert, she sends three pocket diaries per day. FYI, for members like Eri, they only send around three pocket diaries per tour. Other members like Reina and Gaki-san send only one or two pocket diaries per day. Sayu doesn't like the fact that the subscribers will only receive their Pocket Diaries some days after the members sent it out but at least its better than not being able to send anything to the fans at all. FYI, subscribers usually receive it 2 days after the girls send it out. As the girls don't get much opportunities to talk to the fans, Sayu makes full use of this program to tell the fans whatever she wants to say. She has lots of stuff to say but doesn't get the time to. Sayu feels grateful towards Konya mo Usachan Peace, which is a perfect chance for her to say all that she wants.

When Sayu was in elementary school, she didn't know how to communicate with guys. She avoided trying to work with guys because she was afraid of them. So shy of them that she thinks that if back then, she dropped an eraser and a male classmate picked up for her, she wouldn't even dare to thank the person. She's totally okay with guys nowadays though and is able to communicate with them well.

Sayu finds Ishikawa Rika really sexy and acts like an adult.

Sayu can't cook at all, even though she has the urge to cook sometimes. Unlike other mothers, when Sayu told her mother that she wants to try cooking, instead of offering to cook with Sayu, her mother told her its okay to not know how to cook because her mother didn't know how to too until she got married. Sayu's mother loves cooking for her children.

Sayu's mother went to her sister's house recently. She called her sister beforehand and they agreed to meet at her house at 9PM since her sister gets off work at 8PM. However, Sayu's sister didn't get home all that while even though her house door was left open. Sayu's mother made a phone call to Sayu at 10PM where Sayu asked her to wait a little longer. Sayu received another phone call from her mother at 12AM. Her mother couldn't contact her sister neither had her sister got home. Worried, Sayu tried calling her sister too but no one picked up. Both of them were really very worried by then. Sayu made a call to her sister's friend who told her that her sister said that she was planning to go to a manga cafe. The smart Sayu did a quick research on the mange cafes near her sister's house and contacted all the cafes to check with them if her sister is at their cafes. Fortunately, Sayu managed to find out which cafe her sister was in and informed her mother. Her mother then headed to that cafe and found her sister sleeping there. Relieved, Sayu headed home after a long day of work plus an extremely worrying experience. Her sister called her to apologise for the trouble she caused. Apparently, her sister went to the manga cafe despite the date with her mother because she didn't have anything to do. The first thing that came into Sayu's mind was that her sister should have spend the time packing up her house instead of complaining about being too free.

When eating bento, Gaki-san will start off with her favourite food item.She used to leave her favourite to the last though. Eri on the other hand has never thought of which is eat first. Gaki-san's response to Eri's habit, "You really don't think about anything huh?" Normally, Eri will just eat accordingly to what she wants to first. As for a strawberry shortcakes, Gaki-san will eat the strawberry first. Eri wonders why do people even make decisions for which to eat first when eating. FYI, during a personality test in 2006, both Gaki-san and Eri started eating a strawberry (normal) cake from the edge of the triangular piece of cake instead of the strawberry.

Just the other day, when they were travelling on a bullet train, the bento they had had ginkgo nuts in them. Gaki-san doesn't like to eat ginkgo nuts so naturally, she'll look for the ginkgo nuts lover, who was sitting diagonally behind her. Despite the presence of other passengers, when Gaki-san called out for Eri, Eri replied loudly, "Give me a minute, Gaki-san!" Eri had High Chew gummies with her that day and she passed some of them to Gaki-san by...throwing them. One of the gummies hit Gaki-san on the head and both of them started laughing. That earned them a scolding from their manager.

Eri didn't interrupt Gaki-san as Gaki-san read out the e-mail address.

Morning Musume - Naichau Kamo

If Eri orders Oyakodon (Chicken, egg and onion on rice) but gets only a bowl of onion and rice, her first reaction will be "Why?" in English. Gaki-san wonders what's up with Eri's recent English phrase nowadays. Both Gaki-san and Eri will inform the waiter if they happen to be served with a different dish. Gaki-san will say something like "Erm...there's only onions in here. You guys forgot to add in the rest of the ingredients right?" The two of the encourage listeners to speak out if we are served with the wrong dish since we are in the right.

A listener asked if Gaki-Kame prefer guys with thick eyebrows or thin eyebrows. Eri responded with a "Anything will do ~" As usual, she doesn't have a preference for such things. Gaki-san too, has never thought of what type of eyebrows she prefers guys to have. She doesn't like guys with very fine eyebrows though. Eri remembers that back then when they were still schooling, everyone had very fine eyebrows during a period of time. Hearing herself say "Back then when we were still schooling..." Eri doesn't like it but Gaki-san, being the very realistic her, told Eri she has no choice since they are all growing up. Gaki-san can't stand guys with blonde hair but black eyebrows too. Eri doesn't mind. As long as the guy looks fine with the eyebrows he has, she is okay with it. Both of them concluded that they guys with too thin eyebrows aren't their cup of tea. They prefer just normal eyebrows.

Eri noticed that whenever she reads out mails from the listeners that ask them which do they prefer, A or B and stuff like that, she doesn't actually have an answer because she is fine with all the options.

A listener asked what sort of cakes do they like for Christmas and of course, poor little Eri who's birthday is two days before Christmas. To Eri, its not a matter about what sort of cake she likes, but rather, its about whether she gets a cake for her birthday. Eri called her mother an idiot which Gaki-san reminded her that if she calls her mother an idiot, that means an idiot gave birth to baby Eririn. Gaki-san told Eri to appreciate her mother. Coming back, because Eri's birthday is two days before Christmas, her mother doesn't know when to get a cake. On Eri's birthday? Or on Christmas? To Eri, her mother should just get cakes for both the events. Apparently she doesn't mind eating so many cakes. When Gaki-Kame were informed of the public recording that will be held on Eri's 21st birthday, the first thing that Eri said was that "I hope there'll be a cake..."

FYI, in Morning Musume DVD Magazine Volume 27, Eri mentioned that during her birthdays, whenever she goes shopping for a birthday cake with her mother, they won't be able to get one because during that season, all the cake shops only sells Christmas cakes. She made a cute request in the DVD for cake shops to sell birthday cakes within that period because her birthday is near to Christmas.

Mano Erina - Osozaki Musume

Gaki-san watched Michael Jackson's "This is it" movie twice. Eri missed the movie asked Gaki-san to stop talking about it. She ignored Eri of course and continued talking about how badly she wants them to release a DVD for the movie. Every time Gaki-san watches a movie, she will buy M-sized popcorn. She was so awed by the movie that she didn't eat much of her popcorns. She only ate them during the advertisement before they started playing the movie. Despite doing that on her first "This is it" movie experience, she still bought a M-sized popcorn for her second "This is it." Gaki-san has Michael Jackson's DVDs at home and dances to them too. She tried moonwalking and enjoys dancing to Michael Jackson's songs. Gaki-san's parents are big fans of Michael Jackson and has brought Gaki-san to one of his concerts. Gaki-san doesn't remember it though because she was only three years old or so at that time. Eri laughed at Gaki-san when Gaki-san got a little too excited and started talking like some sort of promoter. With that, Gaki-san gave five stars to Michael Jackson's "This is it" movie.

Rokkies went on the telephone segment of Waratte Iitomo together with Rika and Yossie yesterday. As unexpected guests though. Still glad to see them in moving graphics anyway after not seeing the recent them on TV for some time.

A mischievous looking Eri right at the start of the segment with her hair cutely done up and a mature-looking outfit.

Yossie introduced Rokkies to the audience.
Yossie : We brought these three noisy children along.
Eri has that ring on her index finger ~ She didn't wear it in her recent photo cards other than those that were taken during Kimagure Princess release event so I kind of missed it, I guess.

Flowers ~

When Tamori-san brought up Sayu's "I'm the cutest" self-proclamation, Reina talked about Sayu's unglamorous looking face when she sleeps. According to Eri, Sayu looks like her eyes and mouth are open when she sleeps.

Pretty surprising that Tamori-san knows that seniority matters a lot in Morning Musume. The five of them recalled how they had to change their hairdos, accessories and stuff if they happen to have the same hairdo as a senior or wore something that was of the same colour as a senior's and more. Even if they didn't have much time left, they would quickly come out with something that's different from their seniors.

For the one out of hundred people segment, they asked the audience if anyone of them had went for a Morning Musume audition and passed the first round of the audition. Only one out of hundred people in the audience auditioned to become part of Morning Musume and managed to pass the first round so all five of them received a Tamori-san phone strap each.

Eri was making so much sound behind Yossie with all that fiddling of her phone strap when Yossie was trying to talk to Mikitty over the phone ^^;

Kaitou Reinya, an anime featuring Reina, will begin airing on January 8, 2010. Reina did some promotions as well as press conference not long ago for the anime. It has been some time since she was sent on a press conference without the rest so she didn't know what to say at first. She didn't manage to deliver the details of the anime out well, but Reina decided to do it once again on this week's radio show. Kaito Reinya is a character based on Tanaka Reina. In the afternoon, Reinya works as a convenience store shop assistant. Reina didn't check with the staffs why Reinya is a shop assistant but she made a good guess reasoning that since she often says she wants to be a shop assistant, the staffs might had added in that detail into the anime too after hearing about it. At night, Reinya will become a phantom thief.

The highlights of the anime is the use of Hakata dialect and that it airs in Fukuoka. Reinya's lines are all in Hakata dialect but there are some mistakes in the usage of Hakata dialect in some parts of the script. Reina was supposed to correct it herself so she did it at home. As she thought about what would be the correct line, she got confused between standard Japanese and Hakata dialect. She consulted her mother since her mother isn't usually surrounded by people who uses standard Japanese. Both of them got confused and just edited the script without much confidence in the accuracy of their Hakata dialect. She is worried about viewers finding the lines unnatural.

One episode of Kaitou Reinya is 3 minutes long. As Reina continued talking about the anime, she wanted to say "announcement" (Yokokujou) but she confused herself and said "Juniors having control over seniors" (Gekokujou). One syllabus difference, but two completely different meanings ^^;

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

The toughest rehearsal Reina had was the rehearsals for Morning Musume Concert Tour 2005 Natsuki Baribari Kyoushitsu Koharu-chan Irasshai. The timings of the rehearsals were scheduled to fit Koharu's school time-table. The rehearsals were so tiring that Reina wouldn't have the energy to talk during meals but when they successfully completed the concert tour, they were all pleased with the accomplishment. With regards to that pain of the rehearsal, quoting from Reina, "If one can't overcome an obstacle, one won't be able do something great." At that time, Reina would talk to her mother to relieve her stress. Also, Reina watched her favourite TV shows that she recorded and laughed big time to de-stress.

In the past, the members often consult people (No idea who) about what sort of nail art they should use and stuff. Once, when Aichan said she wanted to paint her nails black, someone discouraged her from doing that. Reina thought it was pretty troublesome for those members back then when they even have consult others before putting on a new design. For Reina's nails, she has been doing themselves since back then without consulting anyone or going to any manicurist. Her current nail paint is black and no one complains about it. Recently, Reina is into putting on rhinestones. The troublesome point of rhinestone is when Reina washes her hair, it comes off. At some point of time back then, Reina stopped using them because it was really troublesome. Her reason for doing up her nails nicely is that whenever she looks at her cute nails, it makes her happy.

On the day of the recording of this week's show, Reina slept for twelve hours. She woke up twice though, to get herself a drink. She hasn't been having such pleasant sleeps lately with all her sudden waking up in the middle of the night. It has been some time since she last had such a long sleep. After she woke up, she wanted to sleep a little more but she had work so she didn't get a choice. If she didn't have work that day, she would probably go back to sleep.

She had a dream. According to Reina, her dad has two siblings. Reina dreamed of her dad's youngest brother who has two children and is in his thirties. Her uncle asked her out to play but she refused and after she asked why the invitation, her uncle said that they were going to hold a celebration for Junjun's birthday. She knew that her uncle has never met Junjun needless to say to even know her and that it wasn't Junjun's birthday that month. Well, its all a dream. A dream that Reina doesn't understand why on earth were both her relative and fellow Morning Musume member in the same dream.

There are laces on Reina's princess double-bed. The laces are being a hindrance and Reina thought of removing them. Unfortunately, the laces weren't detachable. It wasn't a good idea either because if she removed them, her bed would look like just any other bed.

Reina received a set of speakers not long ago which she is currently using when she listens to music as she sleeps. She usually falls asleep even before the first track finishes playing. Even though so, she still prefers to sleep with music that overlaps the sound that fridges and televisions make every now and then. Reina created a new four word idiom called "Kikaigenshou" (機械現象) Instead of the "Mysterious phenomenon" which is "Kikaigenshou," (奇怪現象) Reina called the weird noises "Machine phenomenon" which is also called "Kikaigenshou." (機械現象).

With that, Reina gave five stars to sleeps, which is important to man.

Earlier today when Takao-san was on Waratte Iitomo, he made a call to Rika and Yossie to invite them on the Waratte Iitomo tomorrow, breaking the "Old man guests" chain. Shortly after Yossie introduced herself, Rokkies started shouting in the background. After Tamori-san asked who were the girls in the background, Yossie passed the phone to the 6th generation members to introduce themselves. Right after they introduced themselves, they passed the phone back to Yossie. So it was like,

Eri : I'm Kamei Eri!
Sayu : I'm Michishige Sayumi!
Reina : I'm Tanaka Reina! Changing back ~
Tamori : Okay.
Yossie : That was the three loud ones.
Tamori : Oh, there wasn't that many of them in the background?

Considering how noisy the girls were earlier on in the background, its pretty surprisingly that there were only the three of them. Anyway, here's a report from Natalie regarding the phone call.

Tamori : Are both of you free for tomorrow's Iitomo?
Yossie : Yes please.
Tamori : So will you both come tomorrow?
All 5 of them : Iitomo! (No problem!)

Makes me wonder why Rokkies were even with Rika and Yossie in the first place. How I wish Rika and Yossie will call Rokkies on the show after their turn, sigh.

FYI, the last time a current Morning Musume member was on Waratte Iitomo was in July. Sayu was on the show together with Maichan and four OG members.

A listener who was curious about which dish Gaki-san and Eri would choose when given Mapo Tofu, Mapo Eggplant and Mapo cellophone noodles sent in a mail asking them about it with a little exaggeration of not being able to sleep because of his curiosity. Eri claimed that she had been curious about it too that she wasn't able to sleep and was tempted to send Gaki-san a mail asking her that in the middle of the night. Gaki-san of course doubted Eri considering that Eri doesn't even reply to mails often. Gaki-san was torn between Mapo Tofu and Mapo cellophone noodles at first but chose Mapo Tofu. Mapo Eggplant was out of the question since Gaki-san doesn't like eggplants as mentioned in past FIVE STARS Monday episodes. When Gaki-san said she doesn't like eggplants,

Kame : Eh? What a child!
Gaki : Eh? I don't want to be called a child by Kame who dislikes carrot ~

Eri felt that when eggplants are cooked in Sichuan style, the mapo smell is stronger than the eggplants' smell so it shouldn't be that bad but to Gaki-san, she still can't take it and doesn't understand the whole point of an eggplant which she later apologised to eggplants (Yes, eggplants) for saying that. Eri is okay with all three dishes. However, because Eri isn't too good at eating spicy food and the Mapo Tofu sold in Chinese cuisine restaurants tends to be spicier, it isn't the kind of dish for her. If the three dishes were cooked at home (In other words, able to lower the spiciness), Eri would choose Mapo Tofu.

Morning Musume - Shouganai Yume Oibito
We're in the last month of 2009 so they played SYO, which was released in 2009.

Some time ago, when Eri was on a radio show called "NEVERMIND!!" with Aichan, both of them did impersonations of a station attendant. A listener requested for Eri to do the same on FIVE STARS Monday. Gaki-san tried to impersonate a station attendant but she didn't know that the tone she used was of an elevator girl. Eri corrected her and did her impersonation of a station attendant (~06.36). Apparently the staffs outside were laughing really hard after listening to Eri's impersonation. When Gaki-san asked Eri about how Aichan's impersonation was,

Kame : I don't remember. I don't have any impression of her impersonation.
Gaki : (lol)
Kame : She wasn't even willing to do it at that time.
Gaki : (lol)
Kame : She was like "Its embarrassing. Lets get over and done with this as soon as possible."
Gaki : Yes, she's like that.
Kame : I was supposed to do my impersonation after her so I was nervous. Aichan's impersonation was hopeless.

Eri asked Gaki-san to do the impersonation too which she tried...in that elevator girl tone again.
Kame : I TOLD YOU THAT'S AN ELEVATOR GIRL!

Gaki-san noticed that Eri had became more responsible than before and listeners have the image of Eri fooling around when she's with Gaki-san but responsible when with her juniors. Eri called Gaki-san Sub-chan again.

A listener asked the two girls if there is any duo in Morning Musume that they think that will not be able to host a good talk together. The first duo that came into their minds was Junjun and Linlin. Not that they can't get along well, but no one will understand their talks since they will start arguing and soon start speaking in Chinese. Gaki-san suggested Aichan and Reina while Eri suggested Reina and Koharu. After reasoning it out among themselves, they agreed on Reina and Koharu since both Reina always wants to talk about herself while Koharu tends to interrupt people's talks saying that they are wrong. Whenever that happens, Reina get pissed off and shut Koharu up before continuing with her talk. For some reason, Eri called Reina Tanakacchi. Meanwhile for Aichan, she is more of a listener so she will probably agree with what Reina says instead of interrupting.

Another listener sent in a mail about having a friend who has Kamei blood type. FYI, during this event, as the girls were grouped according to their blood types and Eri is the only girl in Morning Musume that has AB blood type, they renamed AB blood type and Kamei blood type. Kamei blood type is the least common blood type among A, B and O. Surprisingly, the manager who came with them for this recording also has Kamei blood type. Gaki-san finds the manager funny. Just the other day, when she took a taxi with that manager, the manager was talking to herself. Gaki-san knew that the manager wasn't talking to her although Gaki-san wasn't used to the manager's unique personality so she just kept quiet and used her mobile phone. Halfway through their trip, the manager suddenly went "HA ~" and pointed at something. Gaki-san looked up to check what was wrong and the manager told her "Over there. Its a soccer stadium!" It was obviously unrelated to Gaki-san and she found that incident really funny. Eri doesn't know much people with Kamei blood type. The manager is probably Eri's first friend with Kamei blood type. So far, all the friends with Kamei blood type that Gaki-san knows of, they have been great friends and tend to be funny.

Mini Moni - Pen Pen Kyoudai

As Gaki-san was introducing the FIVE STARS segment, Eri was imitating Gaki-san and her hand gestures.

For this week's FIVE STARS corner, Eri was talking about neck pillows. From her description of her pillow, its probably the one she had on her neck in the above picture. According to Eri, Gaki-san has a similar one. Eri always brings it with her whenever she has to travel to another prefecture for work purposes. Recently, Morning Musume had a release event in Osaka. Eri initially thought of bringing it along with her but she forgot to do so. She only realised it on the bullet train. Gaki-san on the other hand had hers already on her neck and relaxing. Eri named her neck pillow Pink-chan. Because Eri didn't have her Pink-chan with her, she didn't sleep on the train. Gaki-san remembers that trip. She was sitting behind Eri while Eri was sitting with Koharu and a manager. Eri started playing music out of blue and singing random lyrics, earning her lots of "HUSH!" from other members. After being shushed by other members, Eri apologised but continued singing. With that, Eri gave five stars to her half-donut shaped pillow (She doesn't know the term for the pillow) aka Pink-chan.

Today was the final day for Morning Musume Concert Tour 2009 Fall ~Nine smile~.

Smile MC segment (Afternoon)

Before the concert, Aika was doing stretches with Eri. As they were stretching, Eri told Aika about her socks having holes in them. Not only was there a hole at the big toe, there was also a hole at the heels. After counting, they realised that the pair of socks had five holes.

Consultation corner (Afternoon)

The situation the girls had to act in today was when a visitor in the zoo calls out her name but after she turns around, she realises that the visitor was calling an animal who shares the same name. Eri method of handling such situations...(Using Linlin's name)
Linlin : Linlin!
Eri : (Turns around) (Mumbling softly to herself) Oh my god, she was calling the panda, not me. Under such circumstances, I have no choice but to play the role of the breeder.
Eri : (Normal voice) Yes! This is panda Linlin from China, Sichuan! Please take only a photo ~ And over there, we have a hippopotamus!
Eri : Do something like that.
Wotas : (Applause)
Linlin : Kamei-san is awesome.

For Koharu's graduation speech (Evening), Eri told Koharu that she enjoyed working together with her. Koharu said that she found Eri scary at first but back then, when Koharu was still unable to dance well, Eri helped her out. Example, she wasn't able to do the dance for How Do You Know This Japan and Eri patiently taught her the moves.

The concert tour is finally over. Eri deserves a good rest.

Ichigo Ichie #035 (2009.12.03)

This episode was recorded during a fan club public recording. Naturally, Aichan was nervous. Starting off with the opening talk. After reading out a mail from a FC member who joined the FC not long ago, Aichan asked the audience how long they have been in the FC. Majority of the audience have been in the FC for more than 5 years. There was a member among the audience who has been a FC member since 2001.

Aichan's recommendation was "Koisuru Hello Kitty," a play Mano Erina participated in. As usual, Aichan cried. However, because she knew that if the lights were turned on, everyone would be able to see her sobbing and it would be embarrassing for her, she held back her tears...and failed terribly. Seeing Aichan sniffing non-stop, Aika passed Aichan a piece of tissue paper which could also be considered an I-know-you-are-crying sign.

Listener's recommendation was "Pari▪Opera Za no Subete." The movie shows footages of the preparations made by a ballet dancer to perform and stuff. Aichan talked about how special ballet is. A dance that uses no words, just body and music to express itself and touch people. She would like watch the movie if she gets the time to. Up till now, Aichan still does ballet whenever she has the time to. Not too often though. Even her ballet teacher told her it had been sometime since her last visit when she turned up for practice the last time. Her 2nd last practice was more than a year ago.

An assistant was chosen to assist Aichan for the mails after the recommendation segment. The assistant was only told that she has been chosen as the assistant three seconds before she had to go onto the stage. Both Aichan and her assistant were equally nervous. Maybe not. Aichan was probably more nervous since the assistant was still calm enough to correct Aichan when Aichan said "I'll try your best to be your assistant" to her assistant, lol.

During the Nine Smile concert on November 15, Aichan fell down during SONGS performance. It was a not exactly bad but still bad fall as Aichan for a moment there was unable to stand up quickly. With the help of Eri, she managed to stand up and sang her lines. She caused all the members to be worried about her especially Reina. Reina kept turning back to check if Aichan was all right during the performance. It wasn't that bad though, according to Aichan. Aichan initially thought no one saw it except the members because of the dim lightings but many fans caught that moment.

There was a request for Aichan to do her Takarazuka impersonation. She couldn't remember what impersonation she did at first until the audience told her. You can listen to her impersonation at 14:30.
Aichan : No, no no!

Although Q.E.D was aired earlier this year, Aichan didn't feel as though it was aired this year. After chatting with the rest of the members, she realised that 2009 has been a rather eventful year.

Since Aichan was the one responsible to announce Koharu's graduation to the fans during the first Nine Smile concert, she was very nervous. She felt as though she was even more nervous than Koharu herself. Her main concern was of course, making sure that she didn't stumble on her words while reading out the comment from Tsunku. She managed to make the announcement successfully without any mistakes but with a strong Fukui accent.

The graduation of the Elder Club members were brought up, reminding Aichan of the fact that this year has really been full of events. During the EC graduation, Aichan had to read out the long letter. The assistant went back to her seat after this mail.

One of the karaoke songs Aichan sings frequently is Yagami Junko's Mizuiro no Ame. She sings Morning Musume songs too, especially Shabondama. Back then when Konkon was still in Morning Musume, Aichan and Konkon went to Karaokes together often. Since Konkon liked Koi-ING, both of them sang it together quite a number of times.

This week's English phrase is "Do you get cold easily?"

A survey form for Morning Musume's best songs in 2009 was held before the recording. Aichan noticed that there has been quite a number of such surveys during Morning Musume events recently (The coupling event and Kimagure Princess release event both did surveys on what songs the fans like). One of Aichan's favourite new songs is Sayu's first solo song, It's you. She likes SONGS, Yowamushi and Aki Urara too.

Morning Musume does use the air cleaner-and-humidifier Morning Musume won on Tokyo Friend Park II. Their managers have been placing them in their dressing rooms. Its really important to have a humidifier now during this season. Aichan has this small humidifier that doesn't require electricity. Just pour water in and it'll work. She recommended the product. According to Aichan, she has three humidifier and two of the small humidifier at home.

All Eri needs to do is to flip over her hand and it'll be Eri's "Gazen Tsuyome" pose.

The topic for the consultation corner in the afternoon was about walking in heels. Since its easy to lose balance at times when wearing heels, Eri gave advice to Linlin on what to do after falling.

Eri : (Walks and falls. Staying in the position she fell, she took out her imaginary mobile phone) Because of you, mommie, I fell down!
Fans : Eh ~
Eri : A mobile phone can be a great friend at times.
Gaki-san : You always make your mother the bad person whenever she is not around huh?
Eri : Its okay to blame it on someone if its something minor.

For the evening concert, it was Eri's turn for the solo MC segment. Her mother had an appointment with the dentist in the morning. Despite Eri telling her to that she would wake up on her own then, her mother called her up before she left for her appointment. Seeing that its still early, the sleepy turtle went back to sleep. When she woke up, she panicked because she thought she would be late but she made it to the concert in time.

The topic for the consultation corner in the evening is about karaokes. One often walks into the wrong room after leaving his/her own karaoke room to use the washroom. Eri's advice to avoid embarrassment under such situations is...

Eri : (Opens the wrong karaoke room's door. Realises it and takes out her imaginary mobile phone) Mommie! I told you its the wrong room!
Junjun & Linlin : (lol)
Eri : I'm...funny?
Junjun : That was the best!
Eri : As long as you have your mobile phone with you, you can easily push the blame to your daddy and mommie.

Moving on to the last MC segment, as usual, after Junjun added something to her conclusion, Eri copied her line. Tonight, it was "Good night." However, the first time Eri did it, it sounded a little weird. The audience then chanted for her to do it again which she did with a very sweet "Good night ~"

As of today, Rainbow Pink is also in the concert set list. After the encore, Sayu and Koharu will perform Rainbow Pink and after that, there will be a second encore.

Although Sayu had reminded Koharu over and over again that if more than one person is present on a show, the senior will introduce herself first before the junior, Koharu went ahead and introduced herself even before Sayu did. Moving on to the opening talk, Koharu likes riding bicycle nowadays. Despite the cold, she rides it so fast to the extent that she describes it as "What was that? A gust of wind?"

Michishige Sayumi and Kusumi Koharu - Rainbow Pink

Both Sayu and Koharu don't ask for much for a birthday present but it'll make them happier if the item is something that they can use. They noticed that they have a lot in common. Blood type, family structure, birthdays being in the same month...in fact, their birthdays are only two days apart. Koharu concluded that ShigePink and KohaPink were destined to have this pink-duo.

The two girls initially planned to go out after the recording for Konusapi. However, Sayu received another job assignment so they had to cancel their outing. Since they are pretty busy recently, their outing has to be delayed. In a way, its amazing that the two of them had never hanged out together despite being together for four years. Not long ago, Koharu went out for a meal with Eri. After that meal with Eri, as Koharu was talking to Sayu, she asked her out for a meal too.

The deepest memory of Koharu's life as part of Morning Musume is when she did the ShigePink KohaPink thing with Sayu. She insisted that she's not saying this because she was on Sayu's radio show.

Morning Musume - Mikan

Koharu noticed that Sayu often says "Ah, its okay, its okay, its okay, its okay, its okay, you can have all of them, you can have all of them, you can have all of them, you can have all of them, you can have all of them," "Ah, its okay, its okay, don't worry, don't worry" and whenever someone apologises to Sayu, she'll say "Its really okay, really." If you have been listening to Konusapi, it shouldn't be something unfamiliar to you. Koharu told Sayu that she talked about Sayu with her big brother the other day. As Sayu is currently play the acid-tongue character on variety shows, naturally, she has a bad and hated image. Both Koharu and her big brother feel that the real Sayu is really a good person unlike the character she's playing on TV even though Sayu once said that the TV-Sayu is the real her on TV. But this fact can only be understood by people who truly knows Sayu. It made Sayu really happy to hear that someone understands what she's doing.

Sayu gets hyped up whenever she wears cute outfits. Wearing them makes her feel good. Koharu on the other hand doesn't wear cute outfits because she thinks that she doesn't look good in them even though Sayu told her that she looks good with them. Sayu even used Kirarin as an example to convince Koharu that she'll look good in them. Taking up Sayu's advice, Koharu said she'll try wearing them at home first.

As they had mentioned earlier on about having a lot of similarities, a listener send in a mail regarding that topic. The listener listed some of their similarities : Cute, black hair, birthdays in July and...of course, the most important characteristic they share...

Both of their faces look horrible when they are sleeping.

FYI, according to some past and present Morning Musume members, Konkon, Sayu and Koharu have terrible sleeping faces. Although Sayu and Koharu are said to be really unpleasant looking when sleeping, their type of unpleasant is different. Sayu's sleeping face is just like one of those not-so-nice face but it can still be aired on TV. As for Koharu's...its something that cannot be aired unless its censored.

Koharu : I've never seen how I look like when I'm sleeping...
Sayu : Er...
Koharu : Oh yah, that's only normal.

Apparently, Koharu sleeps with her eyes opened. If one has never seen how she sleeps, one will mistake her for being awake. As the girls travel in a vehicle, Koharu will totally relax herself and sleep. The sight of Koharu's head facing skywards with her eyes opened frightens Sayu. According to Koharu, she look as though she's dead sometimes and her family often checks whether she's still breathing when she's sleeping, lol. Whenever Koharu's big sister tries to close Koharu's eyes when Koharu is sleeping, it'll wake Koharu up. Because Koharu has been told that she looks really scary when asleep, Koharu bought a sleep mask which she used it once on when on the bullet train with other members to the concert venue. It was pretty comfortable and she decided to continue using it but when they were on the way home and Koharu realised she had already lost it somewhere. Sayu told her she should get herself one more then, lol.

Reina went to Matsukiyo (Its a Japanese pharmacy) the day before the recording. She was looking around in the cosmetic corner when this lady from the pharmacy asked her if she would like to have her skin checked. When Reina was younger, she considered her skin a charm point since she was often praised for her good skin. However, nowadays, whenever she stays up late, the next day her skin's condition won't be as good as usual. Not that it dries up or anything, but when she puts on her make-up, the make-up kind of loosens. Since she can't prevent it from happening, Reina has decided to check her work the next day before staying up late. Coming back to the skin check, her sebaceous glands were excellent, skin moisture was good, her skin's elasticity was excellent but her blood circulation was bad. The nice lady taught Reina a way of massaging her skin to improve the blood circulation.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

For Reina's 20th birthday, Linlin got her a leopard-design big-wallet-like item which Reina has never used such an item before and an one-piece, which also has leopard designs. Junjun gave her a pair of earmuffs that's from Reina's favourite brand. Because Reina once told Aika she wants to get earrings, Aika bought lots of earrings for Reina which Reina has been using them for their concerts.

Although Reina was worried about turning 20 at first, after she became 20, it was just like "I turned 20." As Reina had only turned 20 recently, whenever she is asked how old she is, she'll have the urge to say "1..." but quickly corrects herself and reply with a "I'm 20 years old." To Reina, an adult is one who is able to hold back his/her anger. FYI, months ago, Reina's definition of an adult is one who can ride a train alone, one who can ride a plane alone and one who can type on the computer keyboard.

Reina is into Korean artistes recently. Since she can't understand the language, she concluded that she likes the music and the rhythm. The Korea songs that Reina likes are G-Dragon's Heart breaker, G-Dragon's This love, Big Bang's Lies and Super Junior's Sorry Sorry. Not only is she watching the music videos, Reina has been watching the song performances by the Korean artistes too. Before Reina got into this whole Korean music craze, she didn't have anyone that she admires. When Reina entered Morning Musume, she admired Goto Maki as well as Ishikawa Rika for her dances. She aimed to be like them but after the seniors graduated, she no longer had an aim and was satisfied with whatever level she was already at. After watching Big Bang's performance, she was inspired to add even more coolness to her performances and hence, performing on stage nowadays had became even more enjoyable than it already was since she has an aim. With that, Reina gave five stars to Korean artistes.

(2009.11.29) Kobe - Kamei Eri (Last MC, Love Machine)

As for Eri's microphone recording, it includes her "I'll give you my heart" line which she apologised to Junjun softly after doing it since it was just for laughs. Afterwards, Koharu sang a couple of lines from Nanchatte Renai alone and in the recording. You can hear Eri laughing at Koharu and saying that that's embarrassing. She didn't say it directly into the microphone, so you won't be able to hear it if you listen to the fan recording of the full concert.

There are other members' microphone recordings too but lets not do extra work here since uploaders will probably be uploading them onto forums. Do check out the fan reports for Nine Smile concerts. There are quite a number of Aichan-Gakisan, Gakisan-Koharu and individual members' moments nowadays.

After listening to the episode of FIVE STARS Monday where Eri screamed "Kamehamha!" loudly in the radio show, a listener suggested Eri to scream a phrase every week. Gaki-san thought it was a rather good idea so it has been decided that Eri will scream a phrase after Gaki-san and Eri say "Bahahai~" at the end of the show every week.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess
Eri was already thinking of what phrase to use as the song started playing.

Just recently, there was an expensive item that Eri wanted but gave up the thought of buying it at first. However, the next day, she went back to get the item. Whenever Eri touches something she likes, she has the temptation to get it. Gaki-san remembers a shopping trip with Eri where Eri saw something she liked but for some reason was trying very hard to control herself from buying it. Eri's way of resisting the temptation was by asking Gaki-san to continue their shopping spree in another store. Although they moved on to another store, the next day, Eri went up to Gaki-san and told her she bought that item. Gaki-san recommended Adidas shoes. According to Eri, they often wear Adidas shoes. Gaki-san and Eri advised the listener who was troubled over whether to buy a pair of shoes that cost 60k yen or not to think twice before making a decision. A shoe being a shoe, if the listener happens to be walking in the rain with that pair of shoes, the thought of the pair of 60k yen shoes stepping into puddles of rainwater...

Once, when Gaki-san took the train, although her fare card's balance wasn't enough for the trip, the ticket gate opened up for her so she didn't know there wasn't enough money in her card. After she reached her station and tapped her card to go out of the station, the gate wouldn't open and that was when she realised she had to top up her card. She approached a station master for help but probably because of Gaki-san's hairdo and outfit that day that might had made her look like a gyaru, the station master had doubts about Gaki-san's way of entering the station in the previous station she was in. Gaki-san being Gaki-san, she explained clearly to the station master and even offered to pay the fare which she didn't pay since her card's balance wasn't enough. She doesn't blame the station master since its his job and decided to check her card's balance whenever she is not sure of whether there is enough money left to pay for the fare.

Like most of the people, there were times where Eri tapped her fare card on the ticketing machine only to find that there isn't enough value in her card. As certain stations such as Shibuya is usually crowded with people, if that happens, it can be embarrassing and annoying to other passengers at the same time. Instead of being all embarrassed, Eri will react with an "Ahhh~," then turn around and look at the passengers and give another "Ahhh~." Her reason for doing so is to let the long queue of people behind her know that they aren't the only one who is annoyed the sudden interruption of the smooth flow.

Both Gaki-san and Eri's little sisters are more sensible than them, especially Eri's little sister. One example is when Eri went shopping with her mother. Her little sister joined her afterwards and seeing Eri's hands full of shopping bags, she offered to hold them for her. Eri would let her little sister do the work. She reasoned (Or excuse...) if she didn't, her sister may wonder about what Eri bought as she didn't let her hold them.

Not long ago, Gaki-san bought a Duffy soft toy from DisneySea. Apparently Duffy is a soft toy that Mickey Mouse gave Minnie Mouse to keep her occupied so that she won't feel lonely. There are a lot of sizes of the Duffy soft toy and they are only available in DisneySea. Its currently very popular among Disney lovers. So popular that if you go to DisneySea only in the evening, you don't get a choice of what Duffy design soft toy you want because most of it would have been sold out. Eri obviously wasn't interested in Gaki-san's Disney talk and Gaki-san had to force Eri to listen to her. When Gaki-san tried to include Eri in the conversation, Eri gave her half-hearted replies, lol. With that, Gaki-san gave Duffy five stars.

Gaki-san's wish came through! FIVE STARS Gaki-Kame (RisaEri) will be having a public recording! And guess what? It'll be on Eri's 21st birthday! A rare opportunity for both Gaki-Kame and the fans to celebrate Eri's birthday together since there usually aren't any events on Eri's birthday. I'm happy for them and of course, feeling the jealousy that I got used to at the same time. Either way, I hope both the girls have a great time and the fans during the first ever Gaki-Kame radio show public recording.

During yesterday's concert in Tokushima, like what she did in the concert in Tokyo, Eri playfully teased Junjun during the last MC after Junjun added a "Muack" to her round-up talk. Eri imitated her and added a "Muack" too to her conclusion.

As for the afternoon consultation corner today, Junjun's trouble was not being able to address both Takahashi Ai and Niigaki Risa as Aichan and Gaki-san even though both of them asked her to. Linlin on the other hand got used to calling Gaki-san Gaki-san on the day she was allowed to unlike Koharu, Aika and Junjun. Eri remembered how she wasn't used to calling Gaki-san Gaki-san at first and went "Nii...Gaki-san." Now, she calls Gaki-san's nickname so often that she doesn't know how many times she uses it per day. A consultation being a consultation corner...

Gaki-san : What would you do if Abe-san (Abe Natsumi) told you to address her as Nacchi?
Eri : (Behaving like a suspicious person walking towards Nacchi) Na, Na, Na, Na, Nacchi.

According to Sayu during her MC segment with Reina, Eri often tells her that Aojiru is good for health and Sayu is now hooked on Aojiru. Oh yes, the first row of audience for the afternoon concert was filled with Eri's fans.

Moving on the evening concert, Junjun ended her last MC talk with a "I'll give you my heart" together with a heart formed using her fingers. Eri was being mischievous again and went "I'll give you my heart" too with a funny facial expression.

FYI, there was a Koharu call during the evening concert. Four more concerts to go!

Aichan is currently thinking of what hairstyles to change to. Whether she should go with a short hairdo, whether she should dye it black and stuff. Lately, Aichan has been doing up Junjun's hair for Junjun before concerts because Junjun doesn't really know how to do different hairdos. Aichan was not too good with curling of her hair at first. She studied the way hairstylists curled people's hair and learned how to curl from there. Aichan's little sister is unable to curl her hair nicely and once asked Aichan what she should do to be better at curling. Aichan's secret to good curling skills is to practise daily.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

Sometimes, as Aichan performs Kimagure Princess together with the rest of the members, she often wonder what some of the lyrics mean. Like, how exactly does an erotic tear look like? She does agree with most of the lyrics like how fickle girls can be and how girls cry at night.

Aichan's recommendation for this week is C-ute Concert Tour 2009 Summer/Fall ~Cutie Jump~. Since it was Umeda Erika's final concert, Aichan made sure she bugged her manager enough to be able to attend the concert. The performance that touched her was Suzuki Airi's solo performance of Zanshou Omimai Moushiagemasu. As she has watched Airi grow up and how good she has been all this while, not only did she notice Airi's great vocal ability, she also noticed that Airi has grown up a lot. She went with Koharu, who likes Airi. Koharu was going on and on about how cute Airi was.

Aichan has a pretty good eyesight. She can see the audience who are some distance away from them when they are performing on the stage but as for eye-contact with the audience...its not that easy. One of the performances where Aichan gets the time to take a good look at the audience is during Resonant Blue, when she does the "Ue~" line. In certain song performances, Aichan's position in the dance allows her to be even closer to the audience and make eye contact with them. At first, she didn't know where to look. But now, she will just look straight into the audience's eyes.

This week's English phrase is "I'll be right back"

The dream that Aichan can remember up till this day is the dream where she was chased by a wolf. She once mentioned about this dream during Shouganai Yume Oibito event's dream analysing corner.

Aichan heard that getting dreams where one falls from a high position means that one is growing taller. She gets those dreams pretty often but...lol. Although Linlin is only 18, whenever she says she wants to grow taller, everyone tells her its impossible.

Sayu couldn't remember it but both Sayu and Koharu once had a "Usachan Peace!" practice on a show. Koharu had to tell her that they did it was a show and not during their private time. Sayu thought that was rather reasonable since they couldn't possibly be doing something like that in private out of blue unless they were out of their minds.

This is the first time Koharu is on Konya mo Usachan Peace as guest. Fans often tell Koharu about Sayu talking about Koharu on Konusapi. Sayu admitted to it and told Koharu she didn't only talk about the positive things of Koharu, but also, the negative things of her.

Michishige Sayumi and Kusumi Koharu - Rainbow Pink

After Sayu repeated the song title once again, Koharu responded with a "A~i" when a response wasn't needed. That caused Sayu to laugh out loud for some time there. For some reason, Koharu didn't know all this laughing talk was recorded even though the director had already given the cue. Being the usual free-willed her, Koharu interrupted Sayu even though she was trying to move on to the next corner.

Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu ni Naranee!~ is one of the songs in Nine Smile set list. It is performed by Sayu, Reina, Koharu and Junjun. Koharu initially didn't know that Sayu was the in-charge for this song. FYI, for every song, there's an in-charge. Even though Sayu was appointed as the leader of this song, she didn't have to carry out the role of a leader since the four of them were doing pretty well together. Whenever Tsunku watches their performance, Koharu tends to get corrected the most. Not long ago during the Nine Smile concert in Nakano Sun Plaza, Tsunku was there and Koharu messed up her lines during both the afternoon and evening concerts. Sayu found it amazing how Koharu still doesn't remember her lines even though she is already going to graduate. Koharu denied about not being able to remember her lines. Just that she wasn't in the right state of mind on that day. Sayu told Koharu she must be really unlucky to do well in other concerts except for the ones Tsunku was present.

Koharu remembered doing one of those camp fire dances during a camp. Although Sayu has the image of Koharu getting all hyped up on a camping trip, Koharu doesn't like camping because of the bugs and the risk of having a bear running after her.

Koharu was wearing jeans and a black coat during the recording while Sayu was wearing a one-piece with a little bear design. Koharu didn't know they were already in Winter which also means...Merry Pink Christmas season!

As Koharu is Reina's first junior to graduate before her, it feels a little strange. The day before Koharu's graduation was announced to the rest of the members, they were told that there would be a meeting the next day. Like other members, Reina knew it has got to be a graduation announcement. Her prediction was either Sayu or Gaki-san. Never did she expect Koharu to be the one. Reina's reasons for the two members she guessed were that Sayu is currently breaking into the variety world and Gaki-san is going to work alone. When she was told its Koharu who is going to graduate, Reina was surprised. Reina is sure that Koharu will be able do well alone after her graduation and hopes that Koharu will try her best.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

Reina once gave her father one of those fancy cardboards with her message to him and her photos pasted on it. It was kind of like a letter but she didn't want to write it on a paper since its not and durable as a cardboard. Reina really loves her family. Even if she doesn't have the time, she will still try to squeeze out some time to make her family members a birthday present.

Although Reina's blood type is O, she is often mistaken for a B blood type. Sometimes A blood type too. The reason for people mistaking her for having A blood type is because of her fancy fingernails. The reason for her being mistaken as having B blood type is her untidiness. She leaves her stuff all over the place. FYI, in this episode of FM Fuji GAKI-KAME, both the girls agreed that Reina carries the characteristics of a B bloody type.

For the recording of Ashite Ashite Ato Ippun, Reina tried to sing like Kudou Shizuka. She liks how Shizuka has a cute voice and sings with force at times. When Reina got to know of Ashite Ashite Ato Ippun, the first person that came into her mind was Kudou Shizuka so with the image of Shizuka in her mind, she sang the song during the recording.

Reina found out what her hobby is not long ago and that is the appreciation of music. She has been crazy over music recently and keeps listening to songs even when she is doing her make-up, travelling, stretching, eating and brushing her teeth. With the earphones in her ears, its only normal for her to not be able to listen clearly to what the people around her are talking about. She finally figured out how her music player works and has started putting in promotion videos of her favourite singers. She likes G-Dragon from Big Bang. She likes how he knows how he should carry himself and is learning from him. Watching him gets Reina thinking about her own performances. Even though Reina doesn't understand Korean, she likes the melody of the songs. She noticed that Big Bang's music videos have a storyline to each of them. Talking about music videos, last week on FIVE STARS Wednesday, Reina talked about Big Bang's Haru Haru. Continuing with last week's talk, Reina said that she cries every time she watches the music video of that song. With that, Reina gave five stars to G-Dragon and Big Bang. Yes, she gave it to Big Bang and G-Dragon instead of music even though she started off the corner talking about appreciating music, lol.

Eri likes using Kombu and octopus as the ingredients for her Oden. As for Gaki-san, its Shirataki. After Gaki-san asked Eri if it was uncommon for people to add in octopus for their oden, Eri replied with a "Its very very very very very not common."

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

Both Gaki-san and Eri are born in Showa Era therefore they got themselves the name of "Giri-Shou" (Barely Showa). Even though the two of them are only older than Sayu and Reina by a year, Sayu and Reina often tease them for being Showa-ish (Old). They will then respond with a "What are you talking about? You Heisei Happy Yaro." FYI, "Happy Yaro" is a gag of NON-STYLE, a comedian duo. Apparently Gaki-san and Eri has been using it often nowadays. Eri has never thought about wanting to be in Heisei although she was half a month away from becoming a Heisei girl.

Even though Gaki-san isn't a natural airhead, she feels that being a natural airhead isn't a bad thing. In fact, she finds it cute. The two girls were being really optimistic this week and just assured the listeners that sent in mails about their worries of being in a Showa girl and a natural airhead that its totally okay to be that way.

Morning Musume had an event in Yorimiuri Land on October 30. Due to certain reasons, Eri was unable to turn up for the rehearsal for the event. Knowing that she definitely needs some before-hand practice, Eri got a slot with the in-charge the day before the event to have a one-to-one rehearsal. It certainly wasn't the best thing ever to be practising alone instead of with other members. Before Eri went for the one-to-one rehearsal, she was with Gaki-san. Gaki-san voluntarily offered to join Eri although she had already went for the other rehearsal with the rest of the members. Gaki-san's reason for going for a second round was that because they only had one rehearsal for the event so she wasn't feeling too confident too hence went for a second rehearsal. Reason or excuse? (Just kidding) Eri was really relieved that someone was with her. Both of them were really focused during the rehearsal. Gaki-san described it as "It has been some time since I've seen such a focused Kame." Coming back to the event, they had lots of fun and want to do an outdoor event again. The two of them were moved by how the fans waited patiently in the cold weather for two hours just to shake their hands and stuff.

Mano Erina - Love and Peace Paradise

Nananananzoya! In the past, Eri didn't have a good image of electrical toothbrushes. She felt that it would be better to brush our teeth by ourselves. However, recently, she went to the dentist and the dentist used a electric toothbrush to brush her teeth. It worked out pretty well and she wanted one too. By coincidence, the dental clinic was having a sale for the electric toothbrush so Eri got herself one. She also bought three other toothbrushes that can be attached to the gadget. A normal-sized toothbrush, a small one, and a tiny one. Another good thing about using electrical toothbrushes is that Eri's mother and sister can share the gadget since they can easily remove the toothbrush and put in their own. Eri takes about 15 minutes to brush her teeth for now since she is still having fun using the gadget for now. With that, Eri gave 5 stars to electrical toothbrushes! Talking about electrical toothbrushes, 1/2/3/4.

Gaki-san has watched the movie already.

Eri had been doodling on her script with a mechanical pencil instead of the usual ones she uses. When she "colours" the paper, it'll leave the lead with a sharp end on the longer side. She realised that writing with the blunter side would result in nicer words for her handwriting.

Age Stock'09 (Updated : Photo added)

Age Stock'09 event was held at Budoukan yesterday. All the members of Morning Musume with the exception of Eri were guests for the event. No information was given about why Eri was absent but Eri played the role of a reporter in the video that was played on the monitor. Even though Eri herself wasn't present, she was the "main character."

For the video, it was probably taken on November 13 since the outfit Eri wore matches the Eri photos posted in this blog post. Translation for the Eri-related parts of the post :

Today, we had a task to do coverage for "JCI x Age Stock'09" and you know what? Kamei Eri-chan from Morning Musume and the staffs of Age came.

Together with 12 other kind souls, Eri helped in picking up of the trash on the street in the cold weather. Coming back to the event yesterday, after Kimagure Princess started playing, the 8 member who were in white outfits went onto the stage. After their introductions, Aichan started off the corner. From there, the video of Eri was played on the monitor. Brought back the memories of Elizabeth Kyamei.

In the video, as Eri tried lifting up a bucket of 15 litres of water, she let out a "That's heavy! My back..." Well...it's only normal, although out little turtle is one adorable body-builder.

Just kidding. Eri then popped a question about what people in Honduras drinks when they have a cold. Apparently, its cola.

Next up was some sort of Mongolia fortune telling tradition. From an episode of Aho-KameShige corner, we got to know that Eri doesn't have the best luck ever since she picked an extremely bad oracle. Unsurprisingly, this one was nowhere better. Eri received a "There'll be obstacles in your future." The staffs who were with her at that time were trying really hard to not laugh out loud. Eri then went "Hey, you guys are laughing too much!"

Putting the bad fortune aside, Eri got a chance to eat Chè, a Vietnam dessert. She commented that it was sweet. And here's the second question from Eri! "What is the ingredient used for Chè?" Koharu and Aika were asked to answer the question. Koharu didn't make a guess while Aika answered with "corns." The correct answer was beans. The 8 members reacted with a "That's unexpected ~"

Eri then visited a garden and met the members of Green Bird (Refer to the blog post translated on the top). She put on the Green Bird uniform and joined in the cleaning up of the streets in front of Jingu Stadium. With a pair of tongs in hands, Eri started picking up all the trash with the rest of the staffs. Her first trash picked up was this packing tape that was stuck onto the ground. After trying really hard to pull it out using the tongs, Eri succeeded and had a small celebration.

Eri : Yay, I pulled it out! The first trash, a packing tape!

Obviously not used to the job, Eri couldn't seem to be able to fill up her trash bag. She asked the rest of the staffs about how much trash they had in their trash bags and all of them had lots of garbage in it.

Eri : Wow! Everyone picked up so much!

Just like a little kid ♥ Eri returned to picking up of trash. She later asked if the Green Bird members had found big items during such cleaning up programs. Apparently, they do pick up things like bowling balls and guitars. The third question was regarding the members of Green Bird. Aichan and Sayu were asked to answer but of course weren't able to come up with the correct answer.

Next venue was to the Japan Green Bird association. After the fourth question, it marked the end of Eri's coverage trip. The rest of the members rounded up by giving short views of the quiz given by Eri in the video before leaving. That's all for it for Morning Musume-related parts. Good job, Eri!

Very unique introductions. FYI, the last time Eri and Aika were on Konya mo Usachan Peace, they did a similar introduction.

November 22, Usachan Peace Day! Unfortunately, Sayu was not one of the hosts this week. Anyway, this was the fourth Monthly Special. All 9 members have been on the show at least once. This week's hosts asked which episode was interesting and conveniently concluded that the episodes with them as hosts were the best. Eri reasoned that its because they have an entertainer with a fake broken Japanese ability. Eri teamed up with Aika again and went "Is she an idol?" They were referring to Junjun. No hard feelings, just that Eri finds Junjun funny.

November 22 may be Usachan Peace Day but Eri came prepared with another "What day is today?" special. Remember? Eri used to do a "What day is today?" MC segment together with other 6th generation members during Morning Musume Concert Tour 2008 Spring. However, "just as the words were right up her throat," Eri had forgotten what she wanted to say. After some time, Eri finally remembered and according to her, yesterday was Good Couple Day. If you ask why, Good Couple is Ii Fuufu in Japanese and yesterday was 11/22. The double "i" in Good Couple is taken from the double 1s (ichi) while the double "fu" is taken from the double 2s (Futari).

Junjun : You're stumbling on the greeting?
Eri : Hey, lets read it together all right?
FYI, on radio shows, greetings and song titles are normally read out by the whole group of girls who are present instead of one person and Eri didn't stumble on her words there. She only stopped because the other two girls weren't following.

Eri stumbled on her words and commented that "I'm becoming like our leader, Takahashi Ai...I wonder if its okay..." They did the corner's title call together and as expected, these three weren't in sync. Eri explained that the first segment was not a corner for reasons why people like Morning Musume because if compliments such as "Kame-chan is cute" comes in...before she finished her sentence, Aika added in a "Because if we receive such opinions, Mitsui Aika will be very shy and so..." Junjun's response to that sort of narcissism? "These two people really love themselves a lot."

As Junjun struggled to read out the first mail, after she read from the mail about Eri's lame gags, Aika said "Hear, you're being labelled as lame ~" and Eri replied with a "Shut up!" Funny Eri-Aika interaction. Junjun revealed that after the fans "Ehhhh ~" Eri, Eri will be in a strange mode, as though she's drunk.

A listeners wrote "Eri looks like she's bad at handling mornings" (Meaning she can't be fully energetic in the morning) Junjun's response to that, "It's not "looks like" she IS bad at handling them," even though she is in MORNING Musume. Eri mentioned that she feels that the agency should check with the girls during the audition and recruit only those who could wake up early. The reason for this is to live up to the group's name. Our little turtle certainly worked very hard in waking up in the mornings for her job!

When Aika speaks to her mother over the phone, her voice switches to a very low-pitched voice. When Eri first heard her talking over the phone with her mother, she was surprised by her voice and wondered how careful Aika had been to not show that side of her voice to the Morning Musume members.

As Eri was moving on to the next mail, Junjun asked her "Kamei-san, can you read Kanjis?" lol. According to Junjun, Eri has been using her catchphrase of "Sou nan da yo, Kame nan da yo" all this while in their dressing rooms.

Talking about Junjun's broken Japanese, Eri and Aika asked her if she was faking some of her broken Japanese. Junjun replied that this whole broken Japanese thing is natural. As Junjun said natural (天然), she read the "天" (Ten) kanji in Chinese and said "Tian" instead. Do pay attention to the non-stop correcting of Junjun's Japanese throughout the whole show by Aika and Eri's funny comments to those mistakes.

Morning Musume - Aki Urara

Even before Aika finished reading out a mail, Eri knew the mail was referring to her because it said "The one who always slips during MC segments." The slip in this mail isn't referring to the physical one. Aika and Junjun suggested Eri to use the "Ari Eririn" phrase written by the listener as her catchphrase but Eri refused and explained that she belongs to the shier group of people and admires people like Reina when they are able to say catchphrases like "OtsukaReina!" loudly.

A mail from Orange #6 (A listener who sends in mails practically on every single show any Morning Musume member is on) complimented Eri's dance ability, singing ability, looks as well as her soft-hearted nature. Junjun tried to continue the discussion but the obviously embarrassed Eri quickly moved on to the next suggestion by Orange #6. The three girls started discussing about whose fan Orange #6 is (FYI, members like Aichan, Gaki-san, Eri and Sayu can recognise this radio name). Aika felt that he is Eri's fan because his name has an "Orange" in it, which is Eri's theme colour. Eri understood her reasoning but didn't feel the same way. Curious about whose fan Orange #6 is, the girls asked him to recognise himself as Orange #6 during handshake events and such and tell them he's a fan of which member.

Amusing mistake by Junjun for reading "Gaki-san" as "Khaki-san." After Junjun finished struggling with reading out of the mail filled with many mistakes, Eri asked Aika to read it instead, lol. Eri and Aika were praising Gaki-san for her responsibility and good follow-ups.

When the girls first listened to the song, they were surprised by how different it was from the past few singles which were more on the cool side. Its not exactly a funky song, neither is it a cool song.

A listener asked Eri how did she make such a great improvement in her dances out of blue. Junjun's response to that? "I thought Kamei-san's dance has been great all the while..." Eri was a little embarrassed because of the compliments. Our little turtle tried to escape and move on to the next mail but the other two girls didn't allow her to. Eri didn't really notice any improvement in her dances though since she's seeing it every now and then. Her answer to the listener's question was that because she loves dancing since young and wants to find a sort of way of dancing that shows that its Kamei Eri's dance, in simpler words, she wanted to be able to dance in a way where no one else can in Morning Musume. With that in mind, she's practising very hard for her dances. FYI, on her Dokyu dance documentary, Eri sought advice from the dance teacher on how to make her dance stand out after she realised that her family and friends couldn't recognise where Kamei Eri was when she was on the stage with many other members.

Not long ago, before a concert, the 8th generation members completed their preparations and were goofing around in a room with the DVD camera. At that moment, Junjun could feel the unity of the 8th generation. Eri heard that eight in Chinese is a very good number. Junjun didn't explain to her why its good on the show though. For anyone who is interested, eight in Chinese has the pronunciation of "ba" which sounds like "fa" which means prosper.

The girls' dance lessons are normally three hours each session. They will spend the three hours trying their best to memorise the choreography then from there, they will spent the next few hours perfecting their memorisation of the choreography. A few days later, they will have a dance lesson on performing the song already. In conclusion, the girls spend around 6 hours to remember one dance choreography. All of them are afraid of making their dance teachers angry so everyone's trying hard to memorise the choreographies properly. The three girls continue discussing about how nervous they are during the dance lessons and dance recordings to the extent that they think "If I make a mistake, I'm dead, my life is over." Lol.

Eri is sleep any time. She said that if the director asked her to sleep at that very moment, she would fall asleep immediately. Junjun added on that in the mornings, Eri can walk up to Junjun and greet Junjun with her eyes closed. Eri's reason for why she's always so sleepy, "Because I'm Kamei Eri." Both Aika and Junjun agreed that this character of Eri makes her cute.

Both Eri and Junjun enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile, for the 16-year-old Aika, she did her very best in getting the two adults in their twenties to host the show sensibly.

Aika did an impersonation of I-don't-know-who neither did Eri and Junjun get it. Aika reasoned that she didn't practise it beforehand and Eri said that its just an excuse, lol. Junjun followed up to it and said "Aika makes up excuses too huh..." which earned her a "Shut up" from Aika, double lol.

When the girls were told that Koharu would be graduating, since graduations are suppose to be happy events, Aika clapped a little but she realised no one clapped so she stopped immediately. As Eri cried after hearing the news, Koharu gave her a Why-are-you-crying? look. Like Aika, to Koharu, graduation is a happy event. Apparently, Koharu promised to go to every single Morning Musume concert tour after she graduates. All the three girls are rooting for Koharu.

Morning Musume All Singles Coupling Collection album release event was held at Yorimiuri Land on October 31, which was Halloween. As usual, Aichan stumbled on her words during the event. Since it was on Halloween, Morning Musume greeted the fans with a "Happy Halloween!" After the event, they had a handshake event with the fans and many fans asked Aichan "Trick or treat?" (In English) which she wasn't too sure of how she should reply to those fans and ended up thanking them in English. Although her reply wasn't answering the fans' question, Aichan understands the phrase.

Coming back to the event, they had a rehearsal before the actual event under the blazing sun. The actual event was nowhere better even though they were all fired up during the performance. Koi-ING was one of the C/W songs that was performed. When they first heard Koi-ING, all the members liked the song a lot. During the performance itself, since they were wearing the outfit they wore for the cover of the album, Aichan decided to put on the cap too. She didn't use a pin to secure the cap so as she was performing, the cap kept slipping off. She managed to take it off halfway through the performance and passed it to the staffs. As for the handshake event, Aichan's hands were freezing thanks to the good weather.

Talking about Halloween, for the past three years, Aichan spent them celebrating with Eri, Sayu, her little sister and some other friends. They will all dress up in their individual Halloween costume while for people like Sayu, who loves cute stuff, looked more like she was cosplaying something/someone than putting on a Halloween costume. Aichan wore a pumpkin cartoon character costume for one of the parties. Last year, during Halloween, Aichan had to film for Q.E.D. Despite the tiring session, the urge of celebrating Halloween together with her friends drove Aichan to join the rest at Sayu's house. The Halloween parties are usually held at Sayu's house because her mother is a great cook and will make lots of food for them. The girls themselves will bring cakes too. Unfortunately, this year, they were unable to hold one probably because of the event but the three girls want to have one. They had discussions about having a Halloween party on Christmas.

Morning Musume - Koi-ING

Aichan performed Koi-ING as a solo performance in one of the Hello! Project concerts. It's a rare opportunity to be able to perform a Morning Musume song alone and taking up other members' lines wasn't an easy task. Singing it alone, she realised that it's just different from the song being performed as a group and as Aichan herself. Performing this song together with other members for the release event brought back the memories of the rehearsals for her solo performance. Like other members, Koi-ING is one of Aichan's favourite songs.

This week's recommendation is Akai Note to Midori Keitai (Red note and green mobile phone) Aichan's friend is one of the actress for the play. It was just a small theatre play though. Again, Aichan cried. Spoilers! Long story short, someone dies in the play, the end...which was somehow a happy ending (I'm really not interested in such stuff. I'm more interested in her friend :P) Aichan made friends with that girl when she was in lower secondary. The friend goes to Morning Musume concerts as well as musicals frequently to watch Aichan.

This week's listener recommendation is Battle Royale. Aichan has watched the movie once and has watched Battle Royale 2 too.

Dressing room recording! The girls were at Nakano Sun Plaza for ~Nine smile~ concert. Linlin was next to Aichan when she started recording. She told Aichan she had fun the other time she was on Ichigo Ichie (Which was a public recording) and wants to come onto the show again. Aichan moved on to ask Linlin how the concert tour was so far and she replied that everyone's smiles were wonderful and complimented Aichan for her cuteness. Being the modest her, Aichan gave the expected "!?" reaction and returned the compliment with a "You're cute too." Being the modest her too, Linlin replied with a "I know." (She was kidding of course) Gaki-san came in with a "Sukiyaki ~" and asked Aichan why on earth didn't she invite Gaki-san on the show for the public recording. Sayu, Junjun and Aika joined in too and Sayu talked about wanting to be on the show too. Like the other members, both Junjun and Aika want to be on the show as guest again too. Koharu came in after them and asked if she can go on Ichigo Ichie even after graduating from the group. That's all for the recording (Hm...TanaKamei...hm...).

Aichan still can't picture how the dressing room will be like without Koharu's presence. The girls are normally separated into two dressing rooms during concerts and Aichan often ends up with Koharu. Also, although it is already a generation thing for other members to take up the graduated member's lines, because this line-up has stayed this way for a long period of time, Aichan can't imagine how it'll be like without Koharu.

It was embarrassing for Aichan to dance to Kimagure Princess at first but now she doesn't feel that way any more. In fact, its one of the songs that gets Aichan all fired up.

Aichan wasn't able to bring herself to consult other people for advices for her problems in the past. She did consult the Gokkies though but she was a little afraid of seeking for advices and wasn't able to do to so.

This week's English phrase is "Who do you work for?"

Aichan doesn't receive wedding invitations much since the people around her aren't getting married. The upcoming wedding dinner that she has been invited for is Fujimoto Miki's wedding dinner.

Sayu went to Yokohama Arena not long ago to watch Perfume's concert. She found the dance coordination between the three members cool and admires them for it. She felt that Perfume's concert gives a very cosy feeling. They value their fans and appreciate the hard work put in by the staffs to make the concert possible. The MC segments were funny with the three natural airheads. She thinks that if Gaki-san were to be with the three Perfume girls, she will tsukkomi them quite a bit. The funniest part was when Nocchi (Omoto Ayano) called her chin an elbow. Sayu found them cute and was moved by the concert which got her thinking about a lot of things after watching it.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

Like other members, Sayu finds Linlin funny nowadays although initially it was difficult trying to understand her jokes, she is becoming really funny recently together with her funny choice of words. Recently, Sayu went out with Linlin after not hanging out together for some time. They had Monjayaki together. Even before they were in the store, Sayu had already said that she will be paying but Linlin insisted on paying. Sayu tried to get her to let Sayu foot half of the bill but she refused. It was embarrassing because the waiter was right in front of them so Sayu quickly apologised and allowed Linlin to pay.

After the meal, Sayu invited Linlin to her house. Other than Aichan and Eri, no other members has been to Sayu's house. That makes Linlin the first junior to be there. They headed for the convenience store first to pick up some desserts which Sayu paid. Linlin kept apologising non-stop because of that even though the bill for Monjayaki was more expensive than the total amount of their desserts. Even after Linlin went home, she mailed Sayu and apologised again. Moving on to Linlin's personality. Not only is she funny, Linlin is kind. She doesn't look like people's bad points but rather, their good points. When Linlin was at Sayu's house, since it was Sayu's house, Sayu had to play host. They watched a television program together in the living room and Sayu eventually fell asleep because she was feeling sleepy. By the time Sayu realised she has fallen asleep, it was already 1AM. Linlin didn't try to wake Sayu up or anything. She just sat there watching different programs by herself. Instead of asking Sayu why she was asleep, Linlin told her that its okay to just sleep. Sayu apologised for causing Linlin to not be able to go home early and wanted to send Linlin to the station but she said it was okay and asked Sayu to just go ahead and sleep, she'll make her way there by herself.

Another moving Linlin story was when Sayu borrowed a rubber band from Linlin before a concert. Sayu made a dango-hairstyle that day so she wanted to just go home with the rubber band. She told Linlin she'll return it another day in front of the rest of the members where Linlin replied with an "Okay." Later on when both of them were alone, Linlin told Sayu she could have the rubber band. Not that it's a big deal since Sayu wouldn't mind giving away her stuff too but the fact that Linlin didn't say that in front of all the members, where Sayu would have probably done that in front of them, makes it touching. Linlin probably thought that if she told Sayu that in front of the rest of the members, Sayu would refuse to accept the kind offer so she did it in private. Sayu bought two rubber bands to return to Linlin.

When Sayu is with Gaki-san and Eri (Ojou3 ♥), everything becomes fun and they tend to laugh a lot. During such times, Reina will be like "What's with the three of them again." The three of them usually laugh so hard that they won't be able to say anything during their laughing session. Sayu's way of stopping herself from laughing is by clenching her upper row of teeth and lower row of teeth tightly.

There was a period of time whereby Sayu found everything funny. Even when there was a spider near Sayu's feet, she would find it funny and when the spider crawls to their teacher's area, it made it...somehow even funnier. She doesn't find it funny now though. Sayu recalled two funniest episodes of her school life before joining Morning Musume. In one of the toilets of the school, the third cubicle had a loose lock where a small kick would be enough to open the door. They often help the one inside to kick open the door and well...they had fun doing that. Another funny episode was the picture of the maker of Doraemon which was put up in front of the school library. It was a picture of the maker folding his arms and he looked really funny. The picture doesn't look funny anywhere else though, it's only funny in front of the library, and when Sayu is together with her secondary school friend. She is really good friends with that friend and even until now, that friend goes to Morning Musume's concerts to watch Sayu.

Sayu enjoyed herself in the Sendai concerts but because Morning Musume had the All Singles Coupling Collection album event the day before, she was a little exhausted the next day. The event was held in an outdoor area (Yomiuri Land) so they had their rehearsals and the event itself under the blazing sun. Then during the handshake event after the performance, the weather became cold. Thanks to the sudden coldness right after the humid weather, it kind of affected Sayu's body. She was surprised by how lousy her stamina was during the concerts in Sendai

Sayu read the book series titled "Blackjack." In one of the volumes, there was a case of a kidnap of a child. However, the kidnapper was injured. The child cared for the kidnapper kindly and slowly changed the kidnapper to become a good person. After that, the kidnapper returned the child and even kept in contact with the child.

Sayu's sister doesn't like milk and those common curries but she likes Indian curries.

Not that Sayu's sister is an idiot, but she eats pet food. She will eat them and tell her kitty that it's delicious and get it to eat it too. Back then in Yamaguchi where Sayu had a pet hamster, the hamster food that Sayu kept in her room finishes really quickly. Not being she has got a fat hamster, but because her sister eats them as snacks.

Sayu's sister is a cheerful person and is hardly seen being depressed. Despite the problems faced at work and stuff, Sayu's sister still believes in leading a happy life. Her sister is working in a store which has a karaoke. There's a rule that the store's workers are not allowed to be there in private but since it was near to her sister's house and some workers have already broken that rule without getting caught, Sayu's sister did the same. Everything went smoothly...but she left her mobile phone in the karaoke and went back there saying "I left my mobile phone behind in the karaoke room," and ta-dah! She got herself into trouble.

Recently, Reina went to the cinema to watch Tenshi no Koe and her thoughts about the movie is that Sasaki Nozomi's character, Rie Ozawa was really cute. She personally thinks that the daring personality of Rie, who doesn't hesitate to express herself, is wonderful. Reina then talked about human can be sad this moment and all happy and cheerful the next moment. Reina is the type who shows her feelings on her face like when she's not in a good mood, her face shows it or when she's feeling great, she tends to grin a lot.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

Reina has been using something like this for her face since some years ago. She got herself a different one not long ago but it has the same function. Reina uses it to prevent her face from becoming chubbier.

Reina is into Big Bang nowadays. She has been watching their promotion videos and the one that caught her attention is Haru Haru. Reina explained the story behind the promotion video in a very detailed manner, putting herself in the female role and substituting A-kun and B-kun as the two male characters' names. Basically, Reina was A-kun's girlfriend and they even have a matching ring but one day, Reina fooled around with B-kun and A-kun caught her doing that. Later on, Reina somehow ended up in the hospital with some sort of illness. A friend then informed A-kun about the matter and A-kun, who was in the depression-like condition, woke up from it and rushed to the hospital immediately. When A-kun reached the hospital, B-kun handed him a ring and told him he was lying. The person Reina really loved was A-kun. Reina died in the end and the promotion video ends up A-kun crying terribly. After her detailed description of the promotion video, moved by the whole story, Reina cried on the radio show. It's the first time ever in these 112 episodes of FIVE STARS Wednesday ~

Berryz Koubou - Ryuusei Boy

Reina went to a restaurant which is a little like a haunted house. There are zombies there and the lightings are dark colours. Right at the entrance, there'll be a ghost. At first, it was a little scary for Reina but after she got used to it, it became pretty fun. The food there is delicious too. By coincidence, when Reina was there, the restaurant was having a 50% discount so it was really cheap. Also, the restaurant provides fabulous service. Before you enter the restaurant, the waiter/waitress will ask you when your birthday is and on the day Reina dined in the restaurant, it was a few days before her birthday. As Reina was having her meal, a zombie came up to her with a cake and they even took a photograph together. The photograph was given to her as a present together with a birthday card. Reina had fun in the restaurant and is satisfied with its servicesShe doesn't recommend people with weak heart or people who are looking for a place to do some serious talk to dine there though. With that, Reina gave five stars to the "zombie restaurant." The restaurant she was talking about is probably this.

Morning Musume - Kimagure Princess

Eri took the sticker of Gaki-san's black Oolang tea bottle which she bought before going to the studio and pasted it on her forehead. Eri likes the sticker and during dance lessons, she'll take it out and paste it on Aichan's jersey.

In a recent DJ-ranking magazine, GakiKame came in as 7th and a short interview with both Gaki-san and Eri was included in the magazine. When asked what's do they think the reason is for this duo to be born, Gaki-san replied that she thinks that it's because of the Tsukkomi (Gaki-san) and Boke (Eri) thing between both of them that makes them completely opposite and hence able to work together. However, a listener feels that nowadays, it's Eri who's being the Tsukkomi who has been whacking Gaki-san's head like a Tsukkomi will do. Gaki-san agreed that whenever she makes a ridiculous remark, Eri will jump on it but instead of using words, Eri will whack her on the head. Eri sounded really happy talking about whacking Gaki-san ^^; She even said she feels like taking off her shoe and whack Gaki-san's head using it. Gaki-san described that thought of Eri as a Showa nature because people like Reina and Sayumi (Both are both in Heisei era) wouldn't think up of such stuff. Eri still had that sticker on her forehead causing Gaki-san to be distracted.

A listener asked Eri to label Gaki-san with 3 alphabets like the way Gaki-san does to Eri, calling her PPP. Eri chose KQZ.

Gaki : What's your reason for it?
Kame : What's a reason?

Five stars for Eri's reply. The K is just that Gaki-san gives a K feeling to Eri. Eri's description of how a Q looks like, "A circle with a henyon~" There's no such word as Henyon but the word, which Eri invented, gives the image of the tail of the Q when you read it out. The Henyon of the circle is just like what Gaki-san is. The circle represents the responsibility of Gaki-san and the Henyon represents the times where Gaki-san isn't being that sensible which in other word, are the times Eri feels like picking up her slipper and smashing it right into Gaki-san's head. As for the Z, it's just to give an ending to the whole thing. Instead of reading it as KQZ, to make things more interesting, it's suppose to be read as KQZtsu!

After Eri read out the third mail, she commented that the mail is like one of those not-so-serious mails. Gaki-san told her it isn't the mail that doesn't sound serious. It's the way that Eri read out in that made it sound that way. Anyway, both of them were requested to do impersonations of one another. Starting off with Gaki-san.

Gaki : Hey ~ Gaki-san ~ You're going to do the form? ~ Eri isn't going to do it ~ I'm sleepy ~
Kame : (Silence, causing the whole atmosphere to be awkward)

Kame : (lol) Serve you right for making fun of me!
Gaki : I wasn't making fun of you!
Kame : I admit that I do say such things but...you were definitely making fun of me for the form part!

Kame : I understand the part about me going "Gaki-san ~" but was it really necessary for you to add in the part about me not doing my form?

Kame : I wonder how should I imitate Gaki-san...
Gaki : Also, earlier today, I went to the salon

Gaki : And when the hairdresser was drying my hair, Kame-han called me several times but because I was getting my hair dried, it's difficult to pick up a call so I mailed her "Sorry Kame, I'm getting my hair dried now. I'll call you back later. I'm really sorry." Even though I sent her that, she called me three more times and I had no choice but to pick up her call. After I picked up, she asked "Gaki-san, where are you now? ~" and I replied "I'm at the salon now. Didn't you see my mail?" and she said "I didn't receive any mail ~"
Kame : I really didn't receive it.
Gaki : She then said "I'm at OOOO (They can't say out the exact details) now. Gaki-san please come quick ~"
Kame : If I have to explain myself now...nowadays, the weather is really sunny...so I can't see my mobile phone's screen.
Gaki : Ah? So?
Kame : I can't see the mail icon on the screen so I really didn't know I've got a mail.
Gaki : (lol)

Moving on to Eri's impersonation of Gaki-san.

Kame : No no no no no no (This is the impersonation)

Kame : The way she says it is really fast, like a Tsukkomi. I understand the intention of that habit to stop me from something...but even when I'm talking, this person is really fast with her tsukkomi and will cut in with her "No no no" It's funny on to do that in a radio show but she does it even during rehearsals or in our dressing rooms like when I do something weird, she'll go "No no no" I think this "No no no" thing is pretty funny.
Gaki : Really? Even in private, we are like this. Earlier on, both of us went to the convenience store and she told me "Gaki-san, you're really loud! Your voice is too loud. This isn't the radio show."
Kame : Yes, and I whacked her head after that ~ even though she had a hat on.

Gaki-san likes reading since some time ago. She often exchanges books with Sayu. She's concerned about her health too so she reads health-related books. Eri commented that it isn't health conscious but ageing xD Recently she got this book called "Ore ga Kimi no Jinsei wo Kaeteyaru" (I'll change your life) which is about relationships between people and people's experiences. It also offers advices about how one can take care of her health. The author goes into details for everything and Gaki-san thinks it's a pretty good book so she's recommending it.

Gaki : Kame doesn't read books at all but do read this one.
Kame : There she goes, there she goes. It's back to this again ~

Again, no Eri moments *Obviously unhappy* Anyway, during Aruiteru, Aichan leaned on Gaki-san's shoulder and Gaki-san looked a little shy. However, after that, during the same song, Gaki-san went up close with Aichan and looked into her eyes as though she was going to kiss her. Whoops, sounds like Prince Gaki and Cinderella Aichan huh? Later on during SONGS, Aichan fell down.

Also, today again, there were Reina calls and all the fans used blue light sticks during the encore. Reina then ended the concert with a "OtsukaReina!" with the fans (There was a double encore which lasted for around 3 minutes). Talking about the 20-year-old Reina...

Reina : So I've turned 20 and the adult side of me...well, up till now, I've been saying I'm forever-13 and that I don't want to become an adult but from now on, I'm going to carry the self-awareness in adults in me.
Fans : Oh ~
Reina : For my looks too...I'm often told that I'm the small breast character (of Morning Musume)
Fans : (lol)
Reina : So I thought...maybe it'll be good if my breasts grow bigger...
Fans : (Cheers and applause)
Reina : Ah! Saying this myself makes me embarrassed!

Reina's face turned red and looked really cute that way according to a fan. FYI, on her solo Ameba show, Reina said she thought Sayu is the small breast character of Morning Musume. However, the fans who were outside the studio didn't agree with her and felt that Reina is the small breast character instead of Sayu.

That's about it. Only 7 concerts left for this concert tour!

Nine smile (2009.11.14)

There weren't much fan reports for the concerts in Hiroshima today so it'll be short (Aichan focus). Not much of happenings except for Aichan and her cute mistakes. During Sakura Mankai, Aichan went onto the stage without her fan. A staff called Aichan back from the backstage and she quickly left the stage before returning with her fan. Quite a number of fans saw that. Later on during Handmade City, at the point where everyone got hyped up, Aichan fluffed her lines. Aichan may stumble on her words frequently, but it's pretty rare to see her messing up in a song. Oh yes, something random, Aichan tied Junjun's hair up for Junjun today. Coming back to the concert, Sayu tried to kiss Aichan (again) and when she moved closer to Aichan, instead of kissing her, she knocked her head against Aichan's.

The concerts tomorrow will be held in Fukuoka, Reina's hometown.
