Takahashi Ai, Tanaka Reina and Kusumi Koharu made it into top 20, congratulations to them!
The numbers in the brackets are their rankings in last year's poll, so that means Aichan had jumped 3 rankings, Reina had jumped by 15 rankings (WOW!) and Koharu made it in to #10 even though she wasn't even the top 20 last year!

Chou Oto 2 [2009.02.13] (Guest : Niigaki Risa, Tanaka Reina & Junjun)

The show started off with the host praising the girls, just like what other hosts do. They first talked about how the girls joined Morning Musume. Apparently, the host had watched Gakisan and Reina back then when they were new members.



The host's first impression of Reina
Reina : What was your first impression of me like?
Host : You looked mischievous.
Gakisan : That's a good first impression isn't it!
Reina : I'm told that pretty often, so its okay to just speak your mind. (Reina knew the host held back herself)
Host : You looked a little mischievous and a little like a Yankee.

Skipping the Naichau Kamo promotion part. Its just the same old thing. They talked about Mariko and how sad the song is.


Moving on, the first theme for the talk was "Something that you want OO to stop doing"



Gakisan wants Junjun to stop being late. Junjun can't seem to wake up on time. Junjun then claimed that that only happened in 2008 but she suddenly remembered about another incident which she turned up late, in 2009. And it was actually one of the concerts at the start of 2009 (Which is H!P Wondeful Hearts) Reina was surprised when she heard that, because she didn't know that since she was in a different dressing room. Junjun said she mailed Reina to inform them she'll be late, but Reina said she didn't give a damn about it.


Reina wants Gakisan to stop giving those vague replies. Gakisan may look like she's those who really listens to people but in actual fact, she don't.

Reina gave an example.
Reina : Gakisan, this this this.
Gakisan : Uh-huh.
Reina : What do you think about it?
Gakisan : Huh? What are you talking about?


Even though Gakisan replied "Uh-huh" but she wasn't really listening. Reina knows when people are listening and when they are not. Recently, when she saw Gakisan not listening to her, she asked "You were in a trance just now right?"

Now for Junjun aka Junko. She wants Junjun to stop doing weird things and saying strange stuff. Even Gakisan agrees that Junjun has been really weird. Junjun herself admitted that she has been told that she's disgusting. Sadly, the editors of the show cut off this part.


Second theme, "OO's secret"



Gakisan labels Reina a crybaby. She might be behaving like a Yankee, but she's a coward and a crybaby deep inside. They brought up the plane incident which Reina talked about on FIVE STARS 2 weeks ago with some additional stuff. As Reina was crying over there, those members sitting around her were like "Wee! Its shaking!". Gakisan then adds on saying that Junjun was the one who were there, celebrating the fact that the plane shook, lol. Junjun, who loves jet coasters, had a fun experience of course.

Third theme, "Who is the most "My Pace" person?"


Reina thinks its herself. There was once when the members were called to gather, all the rest of the members ran off to the gathering venue but Reina felt like drinking some tea, so she just went ahead and enjoyed her tea. She admits that she has no sense of urgency even though she knows it isn't a good thing. She'd usually make people wait instead of rushing. The girls wanted to share something that happened the day before the recording of this show, but Junjun wasn't able to explain herself clearly, so I had no idea what happened.
Junjun ended up getting crowned the "Most "My Pace" person"

I'm finally catching up with the Naichau Kamo promotions!

Reina is a stalker?

On FIVE STARS 2/18, during Reina's FIVE STARS corner, she talked about bumping into fans.
Not long ago when Reina was having her dinner in a restaurant and suddenly, she heard "Mikan" playing. At first she thought its just the shop's background music. She looked around to see where the music was coming from, and she thought "Hm..wait a minute..", she wanted to turn back and take a look again, but she didn't have the courage to do so, so she used the reflection of a mirror to look at who was behind her. She saw a group of guys who were all wearing yellow T-shirts. Reina found the T-shirt familiar but she couldn't remember where she have seen that. She overheard the group of man talking about Aichan and was curious about them, so she peeked at them again using her mirror. It was a group of Morning Musume fans there and somehow, Reina was pretty surprised by it even though its common for them to bump into fans when walking down the street but this was the first time Reina saw a fan gathering, so she turned nervous. Reina was interested in what the fans do usually in private, so she kept observing that group of guys using her mirror, lol. After much observation, Reina realized the yellow T-shirts they were wearing were one of Aichan's concert tour T-shirt. She started wondering if the fans wore the shirt because they usually wear it when going out or is it that they wore it just for the gathering. Reina thinks that she was spotted by the group of fans when she was settling the bill because they made some eye contact and she expected the fans to come up to her but apparently, they don't seem to be interested in her (Reina said that herself) and it made her sad.

Covers for Morning Musume's 9th Album, Platinum 9 DISC. Linlin's hair in the first cover reminds me of the instant noodles I had the other day. Some of the girls don't look good with curls.
I'm loving those silvery costumes and the glimmering effect. It made the covers look elegant and all the girls look adult-ish.

Second cover > First cover
Simply because most of the girls look better in the second one and Eri's smile is just too sweet. SayuEri caught my attention, despite the fact that they are at the back. They are looking hot there. Coming to the members in front, like hey, that's the old school Aika! The long hair Mitsui Aika (Which are obviously extensions) Aika's recent new look is great, she looks gorgeous in the covers, just that her eyebrows look pretty thick to me. When I looked at the picture from far, Aichan's expression stands out from the rest of the members. Gees, did they told her things like "Don't smile"? Well, the girls portrayed a different look with those curls on them. I was pretty amazed when I looked at the members one by one, except for Reina, which wasn't surprising. Every time a new cover is released, the thought of "Its the same old Reina again" just strikes me. Not that she's not looking good, but I prefer something fresh, like Koharu with curls, even though we can't really see them.

Conclusion : SayuEri look hot :D
I'm tempted to get both the albums.

Dave : Oh. Are there television sets there?

• During last year's Valentine's Day, Linlin's dad gave her mom 99 roses. Talking about Valentine's Day, on the day of the live recording, it was just one day before Valentine's Day, so the girls had prepared something for DJ Dave. They gave him some bath salts. DJ Dave then jokingly doubts the girls that they prepared this present themselves, saying that it was the staffs who prepared it beforehand.

Dave : What is your name again?
Linlin : Linlin!

• The girls were asked what were they thinking about during the PV recording that helped them in trying to cry. Eri placed herself in Mariko's shoes while Aika started thinking about her hometown. Linlin was thinking about her parents, but she adds on that she has a good way in making oneself cry. It was to stare at a bright light for 30 seconds or so.

• Eri's KY*-ness. Aika and Linlin started telling DJ Dave that Eri is KY.
Eri : I don't want to be called KY by Linlin.
Eri and Aika then redirect the KY crown to Linlin. Linlin came up with a "Linlin theory", she said she isn't KY, she's YK. She pushes the blame to the atmosphere for not reading how she feels. Aika then jumps on it and tsukkomi'd Linlin.

Dave : Do you know how to read Japanese?
Linlin : Of course I can! I studied Japanese alright!

• Spiciness has always been one of Eri's weaknesses, but ever since she turned 20, she has slowly be able to adapt to spicy food bit by bit. Eri can now handle Kimchee and a little bit of Wasabi. Good luck to our little turtle in overcoming her weaknesses!

• Even at age 20, Eri is still playing with Tamagotchi.

• Junjun's birthday 2/11. The fans that had gathered at the studio had some flip-boards with them, but not only that, the fans made an effort to write in Chinese. On one of the flip-boards it said 「亲爱的李纯，祝你生日愉快」which also means "Dear Junjun, happy birthday!". Happy birthday song for Junjun!

• Aika's official profile on Hello! Project's official site wrote that her specialty is bowling. Unsurprisingly, Aika admitted that its not true. Its just that at that time when she had to fill in the information, she was pretty into bowling and her mother told her to put it in. The DJ suggests her to put that under her "Likes" category instead of "Specialty". Also, Aika said that she gets only around 66 points per game.

• Aika baths with her 24-year-old sister. When Junjun heard that, she asked Aika "When are you going to bath with me?", without any hesitation, Aika replied "I definitely won't want to bath with you." Junjun then requested for Eri to bath with her, lol, Eri rejected her ~ (Of course she had to say no, Sayu will be mad at Eri if Eri agreed to it) Aika's present for Eri's 20th birthday was some bath salts, which she've chosen together with her sister.

• Eri tried drinking alcohol and she seems to be really weak in controlling her liqour level according to Junjun. As we know, our little turtle loves umeboshi (Plums) so she drank Umeshu (Plum wine). But she added in soda, so that it tastes like juice, lol. Not long ago, when Eri was out for a meal with Junjun, Eri tried drinking Shochu for the first time and both of them had fun. Junjun said Eri got drunk (I'm really dying to see how our drunk turtle looks like) and she looked really cute when she was drunk. Eri denies that she was drunk. Junjun then starts imitating how Eri was like that day, which was adorable.

• Junjun declares that she has good in controlling her liquor level. Also, during the meal with Eri, that was the first time she tried Umeshu, and it was alright, since it tasted like juice. Junjun is okay with beer and such.

• JLPT. Junjun has been practising the level 2 Japanese level papers (Theory) since she is now able to communicate well enough to let people understand her, as well as she herself, to understand other people.

♪ Morning Musume - Naichau Kamo

• Naichau Kamo PVs. The girls were crying in the PV, so a sender asked what were they thinking about at that time when they were trying to cry. Aika was thinking about Shiga-ken. She thought about the memories of her friends and her.

• Eri on the other hand, put herself in Mariko's shoes. If you're wondering who Mariko is, Mariko is the girl in Naichau Kamo that Morning Musume was trying to express her feelings through the song. Reina and Sayu have been talking about Mariko on their radio shows, so do check them out. Coming back, Eri tried really to cry although it took her some time to do so. They then came up with a new name for Eri, called "Kamei Mariko".

• They recorded the solo version earlier then the raining version. At that time (Solo ver.), Junjun wasn't really very clear about what was happening to Mariko so she used the memories of the time when she moved to Japan as a method to cry. After they've recorded the solo version, Aichan explained to Junjun what was the whole Mariko thing about. So during the recording of the raining version, Junjun was able to pity Mariko.

• Another sender asked about whether Eri and Aika feels that Junjun is like an elder sister. Before anyone could reply, Aika kept repeating herself that Junjun is NOT like an elder sister. Junjun asked Aika to try and remember correctly if there were any events of Junjun behaving like an elder sister. Eri says that its not really that there isn't any big-sister-Junjun moments, in fact, Junjun has a very big heart. Suddenly, something just triggered a Junjun moment in Aika's head. There was once when they were dancing to 「Egao Yes Nude」, and Junjun made a sexy expression that made Aika think that she's like a 21-year-old adult. Also, the female DJ noticed Junjun fixing Eri's hair for Eri earlier on, and thought that was pretty much like what an elder sister will do.

• The girls started off with promoting Morning Musume Concert Tour 2009 Spring ~ Platinum 9 DISCO ~. Since its a concert tour, Morning Musume will be moving from place to place, which also means, food. They started talking about food of different prefectures and cities for eg. Koharu's hometown, Niigata's omelette. Aichan then wonders who has the best culinary skills among Morning Musume. Upon hearing that, Eri said "Heh heh, both of you know what to say right?" but Aika acts ignorant and asked "Who?". So Eri was like "Mitsui, you know who right?" and Aika replied "Junjun?" teasing Eri, lol. Eri started banging on the table and went "Ne, ne..", Aichan's heart melted and told Aika to give in to Eri. Nothing much after that, its all about food and cooking.
