Happy New Year!

Happy new year to all!
Its the start of a new year as well as a new decade!

Lets kick off 2010 with one of Eri's aims for this year.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Eri's 2009 review
"I got my hair cut. I've always wanted to it to be at shoulder length and I'm happy to finally have it at that length."
Eri's 2010 aim
"I want to be seen as an intellectual person so I will like to use adult-like words as I move on."

She certainly have to work hard to kick away her "Aho-Kame" image in that case. No matter what targets she is setting for herself and how cute and silly they sound, I'll be rooting for her!

Talking about Eri's hair, I didn't translate about this, but Eri mentioned on several shows that she did not change the colour of her hair throughout 2009. She stayed with the same shade of brown she had. Even though so, she has been asked over and over again if she changed it so in case anyone thinks so too, Eri did not change her hair colour. Its either the lightning used in the photo/show or her dye became slightly lighter after some time that caused it to look different.

Once again, happy new year everyone!

Happy 1st Birthday, Erien #1223!

Happy birthday to Erien #1223!
It has been a year since I started this blog!

Perfect time to wrap up 2009. When I posted the first 2009 entry on this blog, I wrote "May 2009 be full of Eririn for all the Kameists out there. Also, lets all hope that Morning Musume will make it back into Kouhaku in 2009 under leader Aichan's leadership." They did not make it into Kouhaku this year, but we certainly received a lot of Eri focus this year. 2009 has been an incredible year indeed and I hope 2010 will be even better. I'm already sensing another great year with the recent announcement of Eri's 8th photobook and 3rd solo DVD. A great way to kick off 2010 for all Eri fans, even though they will only be released in late February and early March.

As for this blog itself, it has been a pleasure to translate the Eri related stuff as well as Morning Musume related shows. I have to admit that I'm losing the motivation recently and am not willing to spend the time to translate nowadays but I'll try my best to continue running this blog as long as possible before I lose it completely. Thank you all for all the kind comments throughout this year. They had been very encouraging and motivating. Please keep supporting Erien #1223 in 2010 and continue spread the Eri love. I swear I have absolutely nothing to gain from doing all this so keep spreading the love ~ Sharing is caring!

Before I end this entry and welcome 2010, I'll like to say, 2 translations of a same show can never be the same, no matter how accurate or inaccurate they are so I know it when one is using my translation. Rephrasing or re-posting my translations doesn't make them yours. I've heard and seen many people doing that. If you're doing that, please stop it and credit all translations posted here back to this blog.

Putting that aside, may 2010 be another awesome year for everyone! Continue spreading the Morning Musume love!

Black Friday - November 13

Saturday, November 14, 2009

OnDiet is finally freed from examinations! Also, I turned 16 yesterday! Thanks for the wishes people. I guess I'll be studying Japanese for the time being to kill time. Got to get myself a job though. More money, more Eri goods!

Anyway, met up with Hammy earlier today for a meal and got the snacks Steph got for me from a Dagashiya when she was in Japan. One of the snacks she bought was Sudako-san, Eri's favourite snack from those sweets stores. It's my first time trying it and hm...it's not bad, as expected, it's sour. Tastes just like cuttlefish but it's the sour version. Off for ramune now ~

October 26 - November 13

Monday, October 26, 2009

My examinations are starting tomorrow and will only end on November 13, 2 days after Reina's birthday, 1 day after mine (Yes, like wtf). I probably won't be translating much from tomorrow onwards until November 4. Sorry, but it's my final lap.

Anyway, just making this post for Dgaus to comment daily here since he told me he's going to leave me a comment everyday during my examination period to motivate me so...good luck in commenting, Dgaus!

[7/18] Dinner

Saturday, July 18, 2009

No idea why I'm still stuck in the past. Still trying to get P9D goods even after the tour had ended 2 months ago ^^;

Had dinner with Hammy and AlwaysAi last night. Perhaps its because of the language barrier between me and AlwaysAi or maybe she was just shy, our conversations didn't last (I'm a Chinese, but I'm not fluent in the language) Translated the highlights of this week's Ichigo Ichie and Morning Musume's appearance on bayfm to them verbally, but Hammy obviously was too absorbed in her ramen to be listening. Guess it'll be some times till the next time I'll be meeting up with them. Its time to start rescuing my grades.

Just a short notice. Translations may start coming in later and later or even, stopped as I'm having troubles coping with school recently and my national exams come in a few months time. Apologies for that!

Platinum 9 DISCO Goods ☆ GETTO!

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The Platinum 9 DISCO goods finally came! (1 week ago actually, but it was at Hammy's)
I remember saying I'll buy all Eri good but well, I got everything except for her shirt since only L-sized ones were available. The keychain looks better than expected, just that the Eri photo attached to it isn't one of the best one ever. Pretty satisfied with the goods especially the visual book which was surprisingly big.

As usual, had discussions about the goods with Hammy over a meal. Hammy was holding up the visual book pointing at the girls, totally unaware that some of the diners were looking at her doing that ^^; Couldn't talk about the recent media stuff since Hammy has yet to watch/listen to them, but I somehow spoiled her fun for Ojigi de SHAPE UP! play unconciously.

Also, Ume Sukombu Gummy Hunt 2 was successful! I got myself 2 packets!
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
However, its just not my cup of tea gummy. Since the gummies are coated with Kombu powder, the first taste was simply Kombu which is something I can't seem to get used to. Then after the Kombu comes the Umeboshi, which tastes just like any other Umeboshi sweet (Tasty ones of course). Its really as chewy as how Eri had described it to be, being able to chew on it for more than 30times before swallowing it. Overall, the gummies nice, just that I really can't stand that Kombu powder.
...Perhaps I should brush off the powder before I eat it next time.
Its worth the money though, especially when its a recommendation from our FIVE STARS Monday hosts :P

Chinese Cuisine with Hammy ~

Friday, May 22, 2009

Pilot FriXion pens GETS! (GAKIKAME colours :P)
As well as BOMB June issue and Ramune ~

Went for Chinese Cuisine with Hammy yesterday for lunch and she ordered a little too much ^^; I browsed through her Morning Channel and was cursing for why there aren't any scans of it except for those cut-out pictures. Was surprised by the number of pictures I've never seen before in the book. Perhaps I should get it too o:
But anyway, as we were talking about Shouganai Yume Oibito's Drama PV..

OnDiet : They were just flipping through books.
Hammy : Boobs?

Yet another great trip with Hammy. We talked about MM non-stop for 4 hours and by the time 3 hours had passed Hammy was exhausted from all the laughing ^^;
I'll use one the cold jokes Hammy made as a round up!

OnDiet : Why must it be sundae (dessert)?
Hammy : Cos' its not Saturday
OnDiet : ._. *Roll eyes*
Hammy : One day your eyes will roll down from all those rollings of eyes.

Ume Sukombu Gummy Hunt

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

So today I went on a Ume Sukombu Gummy hunt with a Gakist (Yes, that girl) which well..we didn't manage to find it of course. But we got other stuff in replacement for the gummy and had lunch together.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Today's loot, including the overdue'd Kindai and Platinum 9 DISC (LE) which was in that Gakist's possession for more than a month.

We got to a Japanese shop first to complete the main objective of the trip. Sad to say, we weren't able to find the gummy but I got a packet of Umeboshi candy and a packet of Ramune as a replacement (?). Tried to look for "ai" cookie though, even knowing that its impossible for it to be available in Singapore, but I happen to see a box of cookies that looked similar to "ai" cookies.

Then to Kinokuniya for the last copy of HYPER HOBBY (June) that I had reserved yesterday. Luckily. Were looking around and we found some Kirarin goods. There was one whereby it looked like some sort of red packet o: also, Kirarin pencil box, pencils, erasers and more. But the cat or whatever it is in the Kirarin anime was of a different colour. We were wondering if it was a fake and the Gakist actually said its genuine, just that it decolourised ._. No Jewel Pet goods, just Jewel Cat (Wtf?)

Had lunch in a Japanese restaurant that serves Italian food (?) When looking through HYPER HOBBY, the Gakist realised that the outfit that Eri was wearing in the magazine was actually a one piece instead of a top and bottom. Great observation skills, OOO! Then we had talks about MM of course and discussed about Platinum 9 DISC's cover for around 10 minutes?! Giving ridiculous and crazy remarks about the girls. Also, for no good reason, we were looking at Sayu's armpits and realised she had lost some of her armpits' fats. Sayu had once mentioned that she considers her armpits' fats as one of her charm point btw. We then discussed about sending in mails to the radio shows and somehow we started wondering if Sayu has seen Eri naked. Continued with the Gakist's 1 on 1 interview with Sayu fantasy, Sayu's tummy restaurant and more. Oh yes, when we were settling the bill, by coincidence, the cashier's name was called Eri o:

Anyway, after say..2 hours? of chatting, we went to the Japanese supermarket to try our luck. We didn't manage to find it but I happen to see Hachimitsu Umeboshi. Months ago, I remember a member talking about it and recently in MM DVD Magazine Vol.23, Aichan and Reina brought up the topic again. Even though the packet I saw definitely wasn't from Osaka, like the one the 2 girls were refering to, I was still curious about how honey'd sour plums will taste so I got it. EXCLUSIVE : While shopping, we somehow ended up looking at mops and bedroom slippers.

Last stop, the DVD store. That Gakist had been checking DVD stores for QED DVD however according to her she had yet to find it. Surprisingly, the QED DVD was actually available in that store! Well, I almost wanted to get the DVD too but luckily, yes luckily. The Gakist stopped me and told me to think twice before I get it. I ended up not buying it since I knew I'll regret it if I bought it but the Gakist bought it anyway. The cover had both Aoi and Aichan which they were in the same outfit as the ones they had for TV LIFE (The scan above)

Conclusion : Ume Sukombu Gummy Hunt - FAIL
